What constantly frustrates me is how poorly it is used. In all other sports, video assistance is a massively helpful tool, but in football those using it are so inept.
I don't let it bother me now. It's been **** since it came in and needs binning off. Wolves player gets his head nearly taken off and it's no pen and his manager gets booked . Honestly, they don't even try to hide how biased and corrupt they are, it's ****ing hilarious. Best off just sitting back and laughing at the state of it.
well, it began as a very good idea if it had been used properly, then it slowly degraded into a farce and somehow has gotten even worse...the officials do not really bother doing the job now as they let everything go and let VAR balls it up instead, leaves them to do what they like to do and wave plenty of cards in the air.
Tennis, Rugby and Cricket absolutely nail it when it comes to video reviews/appeals etc. Refs are mic'd up in Rugby and its open and transparent. Wonder what the problem is with footy.....
one reason i am quite happy to have a bit of time in the championship, i never wanted it in football and see no reason to use it in the way it is being used...for it to work (and i would be more acceptable to it then) is for it to be completely fair, non-biased, getting rid of the cheating and having full conversations.
That, or stupidly, refusing to learn from what has gone well in other sports. Trying to reinvent the wheel. A camel is a horse designed by cttee. The same point could be made about extra time. The ref stops, and restarts the clock.. everyone can see how long is left. Often if a Rugby and Football match kicked off at the same time despite Rugby only being 40 mins each half, it finished after the football game.
Very happy to stay in the Championship until it works correctly or disappears which ever comes first.
Hilarious watching mass protests from Man Utd fans last night ... ... ten years without a major trophy. Bless
Few observations from that match last night, I still have no idea where Mount is supposed to be playing or what he even offers, Casemiro looked about 2 yards too slow, Rashford looks disinterested again, Antony is a complete waste of money, Onana should be charged with GBH and the officials in charge of VAR are obviously working for Man Utd.
The Lionesses have beaten the Aussie Matildas in the Women's World Cup, no doubt Steve Smith will be on their news again crying
Been nice to watch an international team where everyone knows their roles and play with pride. Enjoyed watching them.
Was a good watch, one thing in particular I thought was great, Greenwood, the England right back takes every corner and free kick, and virtually every one of them is right on the money, she could give our lot a lesson in that department.
The goalkeeping remains dreadful in women's football mind. They really need smaller goals. Anything within 18 inches of post or bar goes in every single time.
