Nah….what if they can’t keep up and their £3-4b assert halves in value in 3 to 5 years? The thing about good investors, and FSG are that, is they know when to exit. if the right money comes along, they’ll sell…..but they play the long game so it’s a matter of time imo.
After the debacle of Caicedo we'll be hearing absolutely every scenario under the sun with this one. Best just ignored and see if it goes through.
It's a good job I know nothing about either Caicedo or Lavia as players so I'm completely fine about whether we get them or not. I was disappointed about Bellingham but other than him, I have no desired targets. I have to say that while I think the club did everything right regarding Caicedo, I am getting concerned about the speed at which our transfers are being identified and acted upon, compared to Brighton, who granted have an astronomical scouting setup and have lodged a bid already on Caicedo's replacement.
If you felt like a sloppy seconds to Liverpool would you go take what Chelsea said to you on face value or not? given they've piled up players everywhere and acted like they are cattle at times? IMO LFC have systematically failed to stoke these players egos for a long time. Lavia doesn't feel we are serious? we will just wait and see. adding another 5 mil on top of Chelsea's tit for tat over bidding on lavia (they only needed dot bid 50 if they felt the player was going to join) is just engaging in ego trips with a megalomaniac owner. Chelsea can come back and match without any issue. nothing will put them off if they are serious. they can easily come back and bid 65. absolutely no bother whatsoever. If they want to. what LFC has said to me here (and probably all the twatters) is we need to out bid them cos if we only match the player will go to chelsea. Its not rocket science to make that leap. IMO if we take the full chav squad and list it out 905 will not be heard off very much again. Baba Rahmans all over the place.
Jeez, i hope this ain't true, and if it is it explains Boehly's demented rage. Not our job to snitch to sir: if the authorities can't see what is going on and aren't doing any investigations without being told to do so, then we all have it totally confirmed what is generally understood anyway - FFP is stone-cold dead, and buried with it is FSG's whole strategy for owning a football club. I expect FSG to try and resurrect the ESL project now, but that ship has sailed the moment the Glazers leave United. please log in to view this image
Always the best advice. People allow themselves to become invested in an idea, which makes it more of a blow if that idea doesn't come to fruition. Wait for the lean.
there was tittle-tattle that if Mbappe moved to Madrid this year they'd have to offload, but that isn't happening now anyway. And we're not even CL anymore, and we're quite poor for a supposedly elite club, so there's **** all chance of getting those two anyway.
I remember a game a few years ago where he played really well for about half an hour and I almost relented, thinking I could understand why people liked him. Then he spent the rest of the game being a total arsehole - diving and whining all the time so I came to my senses.
Well apparently, "Liverpool have prepared information....." Whatever the **** that means! Ridiculous. On a side bar, if our new owner is up to no good, I hope he gets nailed, but why Liverpool feels the need to play prefect is kinda cringeworthy
Would prefer if Henry focused on fixing the issues in house before bitching about Chelsea. The biggest signing we could make is a proper sporting director.
Look out for Chelsea playing at the "Hollywood Foreign Press" stadium in a whopping £500m naming rights deal very soon
