The Falklands wasn't a war zone when they lived on the barge.

The French - beautiful, perfect EU France - gave them a tent. That's what I lived in when I was in a war zone.

Tbf, the barge will be better than Mount Pleasant - at least you'll get rocked to sleep. I mean, that was available down certain corridors, but the neighbours generally weren't happy.

Agreed. Not wishing to reminisce, for obvious reasons. However, Pure River Slug won't answer the question as he's most likely pissing himself under his quilt, sucking his thumb. The prick that he is.

20230812_071135.jpg Bob Geldof was reputedly going to release the song again to raise money for the poverty stricken Great British public, who are being reduced to begging for food at food banks because of the Tories. Only problem is that the only people left who have the disposable income to spend on luxuries such as pop music couldn't give a flying **** if other people are starving :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    From the Tory supporting Telegraph:

'Roll out the bunting. Cut the cake. And break open the champagne. It turns out that, despite all the predictions of its imminent implosion, the British economy is still growing.

Over the last quarter it managed to expand by a mighty 0.2pc, and by 0.5pc in an unexpectedly strong June.

But hold on. In a country where net migration is running at more than 600,000 a year that figure is surely cause for concern not celebration.

If our headcount is increasing by 150,000 per quarter, that would be equivalent to roughly 0.22pc of the total population (not to mention increases in the native population), meaning GDP per capita may in fact have fallen.'

I wouldn’t put it past them to try to end migration to improve their stats.

Complete nonsense. Assumes British immortality. Death rate is over 10 per 1000 per year, which is 0.25% per quarter. Btw, the UK birth rate is negative, 1.56 per woman.

Sunak: 'We're hitting the people traffickers and helping to stop the boats'.

    Reality: Prosecutions keep falling.

Sunak: 'We're passing strict new laws to make entering the UK illegally illegal.'

    Reality: FFS <doh>

I still don’t know why they risk their lives coming across the channel in boats when they are perfectly safe in France. Please don’t say because their families are here because they’ve left them to be murdered in the country from where they came from.

The reality is that we need to make it non profitable for lawyers and we need to get the message across loud and clear that no matter your circumstances, if you set foot on this island without permission you'll be removed quickly and never allowed back.

It may be deeply unpopular with those who don't have to deal with the consequences of a city's worth of people arriving year after year, but if we don't do it, we'll sink, frankly.

When we start to build concentration camps - and it's inevitable that we will at this point - they should be built exactly where these people live. You wanted it, you live with the results of your wishes.

As harsh and unpopular decisions are to be made you must make them, and not pander and welcome illegal peoples coming into this country, especially coming from a free and democratic country (or is France that bad?)

OMG The rest of us were too blind to see it .Making illegal stuff illegal is the answer to the problem. Next up murder, rape and theft to be made illegal in order to bring those figures down as well.:emoticon-0140-rofl:
