Happy birthday, Tongester Bad starts can become good days, and we'll probably all know if you've had a good-un by 17:00 (or a bit later these days)
Really hoping for a positive performance. We seem to be built to play better on the break, away from home. Need the senior players to be brave and attack their man. Good start essential. Haway the lads!
All set to go, tickets sorted and a hotel in Kendal booked ... ... thank heavens for free cancellation, stinking engine management management ight came on, minutes from home, and won't cancel Ha'way the Lads, back to normal and a 2-0 win with another classy performance!!!
I dunno, I think Pritchard benefits from coming on as legs are tiring. Whisper it, but I'd be tempted to drop Neil and just have Jobe and Ekwah doing Pritchard's work. It's a tough one.
The thread title is Sunderland AFC v Preston North End FC and I thought it was weird that we were starting the season with two home league games as I, er, voted for a home win. But I think I'll leave my vote like that. Last week I voted that we'd win - and we lost. Today I've voted that we'll lose - so we'll obviously win!
Going for a positive result today, in view of our away record last season. I'm expecting more from our flair players who should get more joy.
