F*#%ing hate Liverpool and all their entitlement fans. Hated them through the 80’s when they thought their **** didn’t stink and now after robbing us of some of our best modern time players and blatantly under selling Lavia really pisses me off, especially with most of their fans thinking “oh we’ve put a bid in” they must sell to us. F*#% Off
I've heard that even if Liverpool drop out, Chelsea will raise their bid anyway. Just because they can.
I think this is all media 2+2=9 ****e. Behind the scenes it’s all set & they love to feed a media frenzy!? What’s important to us is that we’re getting about / near-on £50m for wantaway Lavia (of course) which equates to a £30m profit (less his relatively new purchase fee & MC sell-on). With the other sales, we must be the baddest, cash rich buyer in the Championship. SR, go make hay! Show us what you’re made of. FOC Manning, loanee Downs & £10m Charles (experienced newbie) don’t count (in my book). I’m hoping for one or two purchases that can put us in a challenging position. Of course. There’s plenty of potential further “outs” but “pro”ins are our key. Sounds like a rant, probably is but w/o pro-active, serious purchases, we will flounder, that’s for sure. Edited!
Unless the next 2 weeks are very busy with incomings, this next season is going to be long and unpleasant. The quality we have lost(to be expected), but the squad we have left isn’t good enough for the play offs. I really hope the sales are used to improve the starting eleven and not recoup the money wasted last season. I realise that relegation has financial cost, but expecting the current squad to get us promoted is foolish. After last season I cants say I trust SR to make the right decisions.
£52m + £3m add ons for Lavia is the accepted bid from Chelsea. Joe Shields getting credit. Lavia likely to be offered a 7 year deal.
I mean I assume from these that the JWP deal is sealed and Downes is not part of that. But we have been running on the assumption that Downes is coming since the JWP agreement was reached, unfortunately this suggests we were probably wrong to assume that.
So if Liverpool do try and hijack it, they’d need to pay the same. Which puts them wibbling over an extra five in context.
Feel a bit sorry for Klopp. Not his fault Liverpool’s owners are a bunch third rate chancers pretending to be moguls. On the other hand, bollocks. Let’s all laugh at Scousers
Obviously this is fun, but I’ll be glad when this window closes for us to be able to get on with the football which is ultimately what this is all about is t it? The lunatics have taken over the asylum and they have unlimited funds and Billy big bollocks attitudes
Why would we stick like glue to our valuation of Lavia and yet fold so easily on our valuation of JWP ?
Purely conjecture but I could imagine us being a little more flexible with JWP too given what he’s given to the club over his many years with us, plus he put his cards on the table really early so the club could plan for his exit. I imagine getting the big fees for Tino and Lavia (eventually) and even Salisu will also help that! I could see us being a little more flexible with what we’re willing to accept to make sure he gets the move he wants.
