Silly season in the transfer market as long as your not from Leeds. Harry Kane £104m and in the last year of his contract. Liverpool paying £111m for a potentially good player yet said they couldn’t afford Bellingham? Then £111m player says don’t want to sign for the bin dippers ahaha, which then allows Chelsea to go for him and shaft Adams who has passed his medical but papers not signed. Rice to Arsenal for £100m, a young CB who nearly came to Leeds now signs for Man City in an £86m deal and Newcastle, WHU and Villa all involved in £70m/£80m deals. Man Utd spending huge chunks too and Chelsea need some action as they spent over £200m last season and have done the same again this season except when getting a cut price Adams who they will now renegotiate the deal to get it with timed payments rather than all up front. Chelsea getting their own back for the Raphinha fiasco. The prem is really powering away except if you are Burnley, Luton or Sheff Utd etc where the top price paid for a player is £14m

Yet another top player exerting his player power is Kylian Mbappe who PSG value at €200m and he is also into the last year of his contract but he wants to go to Real Madrid. PSG owners are demanding a huge fee which they can’t afford to pay and Mbappe says fine I will run down my contract and play in the reserves and then walk on a free next summer.

At the other end an unknown 18yo kid playing in the Swiss league was snapped up by Leeds for £4m. This kid now thinks he can refuse to play for his club and wants to force a move. The club should drop him from the squad and let him fester training alone. However I bet we end up cashing in on him.

Anyone remember the Orta interview that said his analytics department and scouting team always looked at potential players personality so that the player can fit in with the squad and be part of a focused group of happy ambitious players. Well how did that work out as all the players Orta signed have or are wanting to bail out on the club. Never known a more selfish couldn’t give a fook bunch of players and exactly the reason they were relegated. Not fit to wear the shirt. Huge failings from Orta and the more we see the worse it gets.

Leeds lose one of the Premier Leagues leading goal scorers for £5m due to a relegation clause in his contract and he too was in the last year of his contract. Amazing £200m, £100m, £5m Mbappe, Kane and Rodrigo.

So it’s on to Birmingham City now with a makeshift squad with some actually doing their best to impress FARKE. Some others not grabbing their chance when given it. So I expect some to go out on loan or be sold as soon as a new player comes in to replace them. Hoping we will use the loan market well this time for incoming players

This weeks conundrum is Cody Drameh. I have laid my cards on the table plenty of times. For me he is the best RB at the club and has had 2 successful seasons in the Championship. I can only assume FARKE wants him out as Byram and Aarons would have been ahead of him plus Ayling? Obviously Aaron’s never happened but if you were Drameh you would be wanting out. Now it could be that Drameh has refused to sign a new deal? His present deal ends next summer, he has always spoken his mind and he maybe disruptive if some stories are to be believed, but this is a problem we don’t need. His value is between £3.5m and £5m sell him or use him.

Finally everyone seems to be coming around to the idea that the players downed tools for multiple managers like me and Milky have been saying for 2 years. Some of them gave up, others just don’t have the quality.

Players have been a disgrace during and since the end of Bielsa's time at the club.

I'm still happy to ship any of the old lot out and build a team around players who want to be here. The likes of Cresswell, Ampadu, Gray, James and Darlow are a good start. Anyone else can be shown the door. They are tainted with the ****ty attitude they've shown during the last few months. **** em.

Milky I was kicking off about players being overlooked by all those useless twats managers. I put it down to crap managers but do agree with you that our players zoned out and said fook you and your fans

Those downing tools and wanting out, they were all signed by Jesse and/or Orta. I said on day one a good coach should be able to get his ideas across, Jesse kept blaming the players rather than his inability to coach, once you start doing that you’re inviting trouble. If the squad was toxic that’s down to him.

Anyway, this was never going to be an overnight fix, I’m still confident we’ll get it right

It was toxic under Bielsa at the end. The Brazilians sulking about the place. Dramah wanting out. Thems the seeds.

I'd genuinely keep him and let his career rot for 4 years.

On Sunday he runs half the length of the pitch to celebrate our equaliser. On Wednesday he refuses to play for us. And people claim the games not broken. It’s farcical

Is there anyone Jesse marche signed that I wouldn't like to knock out right now?

    Because I'm struggling

Jesse and Orta have royally ****ed us. So much so, that the bounce back factor is significantly reduced. Thank **** we have Farke, but I honestly expect him to take us up next season now

There’s no loyalty in football anymore and hasn’t been for sometime but it goes both ways. All those players were signed by a different DOF to play for a manager (some of them came likely because of him) who then got sacked.

If you were them and found yourself, in a lower league playing for a club you barely knew of a year previously and had the chance to double your salary elsewhere… would you want to stay? Really?

I’m as frustrated as the next guy by it, but we’re viewing it through the eyes of emotionally invested passionate fans.

when we sign a player who wants away from his current club we don’t complain.

Yeh… it’s a bit insulting really. But then we’ve just lost target players to Bournemouth and The blunts.

We can't compete with prem wages, and sure these players are wise to the relegation clause get of jail free card.

He did and it resonates… but this isn’t one player demanding a release clause. This was a club strategy… a kinnear/Orta/radz thing. We offer a lower basic wage than most for the prem but with a big staying up bonus. We offer a big salary if relegated but with these loan clauses to give the players a get out.

When kinnear talks about out our sound financial plans in case of relegation, this is what he meant. We can get big earners off the books or they stay for peanuts. I’m not saying I agree with it, but they’ve geared the whole thing to pretty much incentivise players to leave.

Just my view but if people don’t like it, I think it’s the club not the players they should be looking at.

Gnonto’s case is different - he doesn’t have the clause because he was bought as a junior squad player and not on stupid money. You can see why tripling his salary would be appealing to him but here the fault/blame is with him/his team
