    I must admit, I havent been as against VAR as you have been quietly telling us, but on Friday I loved how I could celebrate immediately. Downside was when they scored I had no hope that an armpit or a slight push could get it disallowed

    It's a shame the business doesn't get done earlier/the window doesn't shut earlier, giving the season break for adjustment to the new league. Instead, some of that gets delayed into the start of the season when really we should have a big old advantage over Norwich or most Championship clubs having just played in the Premier League.

    Have to say, I find Martin's press conferences quite easy listening. No bullshit and quite relaxed, but also not so scripted that you give up and just think he's never going to give any insight or info that's fresh.

    Yeah it's a worry. However on Tuesday we also had Perraud at CB, plus a lot of inexperience all over the pitch. Hopefully a midfield three of Charles - Smallbone - Alcaraz, with experience all around, will be up to the task.
