What a touching moment, after the Sweden victory over Japan, Jonna Andersson, took a distraught Japanese girl in her arms and gave her a cuddle. She was still doing it, as her teammates were all in the huddle.
Yet I grab a Japanese student walking along the high street and get called all sorts. Reverse sexism this.
I'm even more confused now with the rules around penalty kicks after watching the Australia v France penalty shoot-out. The Aussie keeper saved, but VAR made the penalty be retaken because the keeper had moved before the ball was kicked. On the retake, it looked to me the keeper moved even sooner this time, but the save was given, wtf? Maybe I need #specsavers.
Not seen the incidents but it may be because in the first one she moved off/forward of the line where in the second just moved along the line. One is illegal the other isn't.
