Seems right back is a priority and personally don't disagree as Ayling is now in the twilight of his career.

With Rodon we now have 2 right side centre backs, 2 left side once Cooper's fit and 2 left backs once Firpo is fit.

What we definitely need is an attacking midfielder, so let's maybe take a punt on Hamer now we've got some cash. Not the best engine and will cost us a little bit defensively, overall though the quality he brings offensively has to be worth the gamble.

You’ll be pleased to know Jambo that Rodon, though right footed is happy as LCB. It’s where he played for Swansea. Must be one of those old school defenders <laugh>

Well, Dramah cup tied himself last night. Its a small indication he might just hang around this season.
Well he didn't ask not to be included, but then again he needed to show perspective suitors that he's back fit again.

Not sure anyone has seen him play well in a back four though which is obviously Farke's preferred system.

Not pleased at all.

Probably had to play there to get a starting berth that's all.

Understand your point. It’s outrageous that a player might be fairly two footed and comfortable on either side. But I guess he must have done ok… it got him his £multi million move to spurs

- where he couldn’t get a game.

don’t know where Rennes played him, but he was dropped for an academy player and didn’t feature in the second half of the season.

I read a report from one coach who said that he’s so good technically that he is often used on the wrong side in order for teams to allow the other CB to play on their preferred side.

Rodon sounds too good for the PL so I hope he lives up to the hype

It's on the BBC so I actually believe this....

Leeds United have signed Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon on a season-long loan.

The 25-year-old Wales international has made 15 league appearances for Spurs since joining from Swansea in October 2020.

That’s the point though Jammy. There is no such thing as a long term contract in football. You get a contract till a better offer comes along
That's clearly not the case at many other clubs though Eire.

Does make me wonder if our board were open to the move as they thought Aarons was in the bag and wanted the cash. Why else would Gnonto ask not to play on the same day when he'd happily played at the weekend ?

I don’t like the fella but you’ve got to admire the deals Leavy negotiates when selling

Think we need to wait and see how Rodon performs for Leeds and forget about reports of his performances elsewhere.

Milky posted a lot of sense when he commented, but the amount of stuff I’ve seen published on the clickbait sites and used as fact in so-called serious sports media (YEP/Athletic to name just 2) is a joke.

One of the best and most frequently used is that Jose’ Morinho called him a beast, a tactically astute thouroughbred, A classic CB……….. Hes so good that Jose has never wanted him because he preferred Llorente and Kristensen instead of getting this kid for nothing. Lets just wait and see shall we, but I do know for a fact that Bielsa wanted him to replace Ben White so he saw something

The thing is Doc at our level it's easy to spot the footballers amongst the academy drilled robots.

Gyabi last night being a case in point as all the coaching he's had has probably taken him onto a place he simply doesn't know how to get out of.

Archie Gray on the other hand laughs in the face of all that as he displays freedom alongside the discipline.
