Yeah a lot of unnecessary hate is aimed at Liverpool. Not specifically on this forum, but nationally on social media. It's pretty deplorable to be honest. All the 'bin dippers' and 'victims' stuff is particularly childish imo.
I think West Ham have done exactly the same with JWP as Liverpool have done with Lavia but obviously for a lower amount. Interestingly I suppose we’ll get about the same profit for both
Dunno about social media as I'd rather set myself on fire than use any of that ****e but I do find the level of hate from our fans bizarre.
I don’t get this lack of positivity. Played two games lost one that we felt we should have won before the start but didn’t really know and one the important one. We actually won an opening game of the season. That makes me positive I’ll get back to you after the weekend though!
Well seeing as the enviable sale of one of the key players in that win is about to be sold… Think the negativity is because we are now seeing the assets being sold, and there is not faith in the backup options because they tend to be rubbish (look at the cup game)
The way the media fawns over them is a disgrace. Also in general their fans do try to make everything about themselves. They have handled transfers incredibly shadily in the past…Also they stole most of our good players so we have extra reasons to dislike them. With all that said, I love Liverpool as a city and I think scousers are quality. The actual Liverpool fans (that are from Liverpool) that I’ve encountered at games etc have always been class. It seems to be their global fan base that are grim. But same with any club. So I def don’t hate them, but I just want to watch them fail. A nice 14th place or something would be hilarious
Same, I’m positive for Saturday. Hopefully the sun is out and the beer is flowing! Hope to see some goals for Saints too
Oh I love to watch them fail, but then I love watching all of the big clubs fail. I'm over the players we sold to them. The first bunch we bought even better players with the money, and it was our fault we wasted the Van Dijk money. If anyone is to blame its our (previous) board for lacking ambition etc.
Lots of the predictions I have seen have Liverpool surging up to 2nd. With seemingly no justification. I guess just an assumption that the forward line has finally clicked and pundits highly rating the two new midfield signings and missing the lack of an anchor. I’m not saying they won’t rise up but pundits have them swapping places with Arsenal when as far as I can tell arsenal have strengthened from being comfortably ahead of them
Does “by this weekend” mean before the weekend? Presumably not in time to play. We’ll get to see if there really are players lined up waiting for sales. Or perhaps a loan for Downes as loans are quicker to arrange. But latest was that they apparently want to sell him
I'll be amazed if they finish above Arsenal and Man Utd. Battle for 4th between them and Chelsea IMO.
