I’m not sure why some on here are so disappointed at our loss to Gillingham . IF they get promoted at the end of the season , then we at least have some idea of how to get 6 points off them in the 24/25 season
Completely proves my point about the cups aren't just about winning and it's ridiculous to suggest it's not worth progressing past the first round if you're not gonna win it. Luton is a ground we've not played at in over 15 years and is one of the quirkiest grounds in the country. Not only that but they're looking to move so we may have just lost our chance of getting one last visit. Absolutely gutted.
We probably should have thrown the game against Newport a couple of years ago. Who cares about securing the biggest away win in our 135 year history. Pointless seeing as we went out in the 4th round. Maybe we could write to the EFL and FA and ask to withdraw from the cups for future seasons? No point playing if we're not gonna win it.
If he takes 10 points from every six games, we would end the season with 76 points. On last season's table, that puts us 4th - I don't think he would get sacked over that.
That's quite a naïve attitude to take basing it on last season's Championship which in itself was a much poorer prospect than it is this season and you already have the worst defence in the league.
It's also quite naive to base a gloating forum post on an incredibly small sample size of two games, yet here you are.
Did I come to gloat or did I come to ask a genuine question considering the rumblings of other members of this board airing their dissatisfaction on other posts about Martin already? Perhaps the timing could be deemed as slightly presumptive but you've already lost more than two games and the soundings of discourse are reaching further afield than the Solent.
Then you are very much mistaken, however as there now already appears to be a thread dedicated to fans wanting him rid, I guess I have my answer regardless.
Yea you were correct. Horrific appointment & I have no idea what the club saw in him tactically. I can only assume they were hoodwinked by his sales pitch as he seems like a lovely bloke.
For me, this is Rasmus constantly thinking he has to do something nobody has ever thought of before. We have to have the basics right first and foremost, then go sprinkle loads of dried Pep and Klopp jizz all over it, but not before.
Easy to blame Rasmus but you'd like to think that he doesn't really have much to do with the football side of things since hiring Wilcox. I don't know if that is better or worse really because would mean that Wilcox follows the same hipster desires.
I was thinking Rasmus selected Jones, and id wager he either selected or heavily influenced Martin coming in.
