Good Morning. It's Wednesday 9th August, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Rodon set for season long move

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a move, for Joe Rodon to join the Whites on a season long loan. The 25yo centre-back, a £15m signing three years ago from Swansea City, hasn't quite made the grade in North London. He spent last season in Ligue 1 with Rennes, where he made 16 appearances. It is hoped that his stay in West Yorkshire will be a more fruitful one.

He will link up with fellow fellow Welsh Internationals Dan James and Ethan Ampadu. Rodon will know James from their time together at the Liberty Stadium, where they both rose through the youth ranks, to become integral parts of Swansea City's first XI.

    Skipper sidelined for 8 weeks

Liam Cooper will be out of action until October after scans revealed that he ruptured his plantar fascia during the 2-2 draw with Cardiff City last weekend. He bravely flung his head at the ball (scoring in the process), but landed awkwardly, turning his ankle in the process.

This is likely to put paid to any aspirations the Scottish International may have about a lucrative pay day in Saudi Arabia. He has been strongly linked to join up with former team mate Joel Robles in , but will now have to be content to swap the vibrant coastal city of Al-Khobar for the physio's room at Thorp Arch.

Leeds in pole position to snap up Max Aarons

Reports from East Anglia claim Leeds are in advanced talks with Norwich City regarding star right back Max Aarons, but face a battle with fellow Championship promotion candidates Southampton for his signature.
The Coast Coast outfit see Aarons as the perfect replacement for Tino Livramento, who joined Newcastle Utd earlier this week in a £40m move.

He played an instrumental part in helping England to Euro 21 success this Summer, starting four out of six of their matches. He is in the final twelve months of his contract, and is obviously looking to further his career. The Canaries are looking to secure £12m, part of which is thought to include add-ons.

With Daniel Farke at the helm, Leeds are firm favourites to snap up the 23yo. They lost out to Southampton over Ryan Manning, let's hope they don't lose out again!

    They're dropping like flies

It has been revealed that Crysencio Summerville picked up a groin strain at the weekend, that will put him out of action for around three weeks.

He joins Tyler Adams, Jack Harrison, Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper, Mateo Joseph, Georginio Rutter, Stuart Dallas, Sam Greenwood and Junior Firpo on the treatment table. With nine players having already departed for pastures new, Daniel Farke can ill afford early casualties, let along ten of them.

    Morning all

Did we really lose out on Manning or were we never interested. Ampadu and Rodin were two names that were never touted around yet we secured them both.

Max Aaron’s when we have Ayling, Byram and Drameh, sounds a bit strange to me

Glad we’ve a CB over the line, Summerville will be missed but we’ve a few we can jiggle around in the attacking positions

Morning all. Signing up the Welsh team it seems. One day we can't spend anything due to ffp, the next day we're supposedly offering 12m for a defender. Someones telling porkies. Oh and that picture of Aarons makes him look like another runt. Hope its just a dud picture

    Good morning.

    Rondon is a great signing.

Aarons coming in would surely make way for Drameh to leave and recoup some of the Aarons fee.

Byram - Rondon - Cresswell - Aarons is infinitely preferable to the Hjelde - Cooper - Struijk - Ayling that started the season.

So far it seems the 4 players brought in are top players for this league, so not going to moan until the window closes and maybe not even then if the right players are here

9 injured is a joke andCooper was always going to be a problem, maybe the club can help him get toSaudi

Haha yeah you're right, haven't had enough coffee yet <doh> I'd still take Salomon Rondon at CB over some of our other options!

He can make Saudi though as their transfer window doesn't close till five weeks after English. That gives him eight or nine weeks to get fit which is what club stated yesterday would be likely length

Looks like Ward-Prowse is now going to WHU which means another huge wedge going to Southampton. WHU also taking the oil tanker MaGuire from scum this morning too

They're also after McTominay for anywhere between £40m-£60m depending who you believe. The Rice money must be burning a hole in their pocket. I'm surprised they haven't been sniffing around Adams for £20m instead. They can offer him much more game time than Chelsea.

Good morning everyone i hope Rodon can play left side and leave charlie on the right. I have never been convinced that Drameh would stay with the lure of prem wages at Luton. So we will have to see whos is left eventually. Just a pity that all the injuries ie firpo and co we could have shipped some more out. So 4 players in now and everyone i have heard of. All with experience of playing in the U.K. Have the club learned from the orta signings? For me it would seem so. Maybe we will get a striker on loan from one of the prem top end clubs.

So, Joe Rodon. Solid, aggressive defender. Another without pace by the way. A very very solid signing in an area that desperately needs change. I like it. Good piece of business.

Max Aarons rumoured. He's better than Dramah and Ayling but I'm sure the 12 million could have gone elsewhere. Great player but we desperately need bodies elsewhere. Hopefully we can get Luton to stump up most of that 12 million for Dramah.

IWhat is there not to like about Manning. One of the best left backs in the league, on a free transfer

We don’t do left backs. Left backs to Leeds are like a crucifix to a vampire. Same effect.
