Sorry I should have specified we are phasing them out or not playing. Pritchard not gunna be starting league games, same with Batth, evans out, Stewart out. They’re all either long term injuries or looking to be moved on so not playing. They need replacing.

Correct. I try not to comment on anything after a game as it’s all knee jerk stuff. But as mentioned on here the striker situation should have been sorted.

Of course we all want it sorted, but you can't always get what you want. Still time left for it to happen.

Dack proved in one half tonight why we need experience. Not so much for the way he played, although it wasn’t bad, but it was that he was constantly coaching Bennette into a better performance, telling him when and where to make runs, and Bennette responded to it. You don’t get that with a team full of kids because they can’t coach each other.

I’m with Mowbray on this one like, we need experience in this team otherwise I think we’ll struggle to get mid table.

Then speakman and the leadership team have failed massively.
You are a scout for a professional team, have you seen any forward players in europe move to new club in the bracket we are looking. If those teams can buy said players why car'nt we.

I’ll put money on that they won’t, see there’s no alternative, you either support them or you don’t. And given that up to the Majorca game apparently this is the best football we’ve seen in years etc etc, two defeats don’t make us ****e. We all know we need a striker, preferably one who needs to shave, but if we don’t get one we’ll still support the team, kld will only go if someone buys him out, and given the experience with Donald and co be careful what you wish for.

Lots of talk, very little action
The striker situation at the end of the last window was a farce, now it is beyond ridiculous

I hate to be the one to say it but it does feel like a major sale is needed to fund some of this. It just cant be Clarke or Roberts as we are too short on the wings. In fact I'm struggling to see who or where it could be.

As much as I love him, if Trai Hume was getting good offers then he's probably the most expendable of our "assets" in that we have Huggins and Gooch as right back options.

The optimum is we get a club making a crazy desperate offer on Stewart. But they wont do that until its too late anyway.

Just got to hope that the Lihadji money was enough to get balls rolling and they're in progress.

I don’t think anyone disagrees but Mowbray picks the team and left Batth and Pritchard out on Sunday whilst picking a very inexperienced team tonight. Jobe was great for an hour on Sunday but I would have started Pritchard. Tonight’s game selection was trickier because it’s just over 48 hours since the first team played and it’s clearly not ideal for them to play again so soon but it was still a very young and inexperienced team. Rigg thrived but he really does look like a once in a generation talent.

Discussing this on the walk back to the car - it's all well and good planning for 2 years down the line, but you have to take care of the here and now. I get the model, I support the model but right now KLD needs to dip into that trust fund, find £5m and let Speakman sign someone like Kieffer Moore.

I'm all for giving the model time, but we absolutely cannot hang our hats on Hemir and whatever version of Ross Stewart appears at the end of next month. Speakman and KLD have my support, but if we are left with Dack and Pritchard up front we will do well to finish top half

This is all Barnesy has said by the way. Its all his opinion and a feeling rather than him actually knowing anything.

Its been spun massively by people on twitter as Barnesy saying its fact

Barnes needs to keep his gob shut. If there is any truth in this, how is blurting it out on the air waves supposed to help?
