Puerto Pollensa is our favoured spot, went at the end of May and heading back again in two weeks time
For the time being, yes. But in the final weeks of the season, alphabetical is replaced by disciplinary record in the pecking order. Quite why disciplinary record can't always exist in the pecking order, I have no idea! (Although in our case, we would still be below Ipswich because we picked up more yellow cards.)
Points Goal difference Goals scored Head-to-head record (points) Head-to-head record (goal difference) Head-to-head record (goals scored) Number of wins Away goals scored Disciplinary record (but this is only applied later in the season) Alphabetical order (unless the season has concluded, in which case a play-off match will be arranged)
Sort of logical & thanks. Regarding the disciplinary record; can you elaborate? Red & then yellows or ??
Penalty points are attributed to all yellow cards and red cards. And within that there are differences. Eg a red card for violent conduct is worth more penalty points than a red card for denying a goalscoring opportunity. So every side will rack up a certain number of penalty points over the course of a season. The lower the better.
Hmmm, there’s something about that response that I really just don’t like. “Why wouldn’t it be?” Well Adam, you ran into the box, clearly tried to get out of the way. It glanced off your back while you weren’t even looking at it and went in with the lightest of deflections. So basically you were in the wrong place at the right time. That’s why it’s not your goal mate. Any decent teammate would admit they didn’t have clue what was happening and that they thought they’d ****ed up a perfectly good goal until the goalie was picking it out of the net.
I suspect the whole thing is another masterful bit of tomfoolery by the Saints Media team, and the players were fully primed and rehearsed in what they were going to say.
Still his goal even if he didn't mean it, and they all count the same. Lavia's arrow last year and that profoundly stupid match winner that Rickie Lambert scored against Swansea where everyone jumped for and missed headers twice before it bounced off his face and in from 6" out? Worth just as much.
Thing is, if it comes off a defender, it only counts as an OG if the ball was not originally on target. So presumably, Tella's shot was considered to be going wide (didn't look it to me). In which case, it was only a goal because of the deflection. Maybe? Arguably the keeper would have had a better chance of saving it, without Arma's touch, so I guess it's fair.
Yeah, my opinion as well. If there's no intention to score the goal shouldn't be awarded to that player. The direction of the ball didn't seem to deviate much at all but it did kick up very slightly higher off Adarma. Ball was goalbound without deflection.
Tella's shot was on target, but I imagine the keeper might have been able to reach it without the deflection off Atma's head. Maybe the dubious goals people use a different set of arbitrary rules for this situation?
