I use my phone to scan a sensor on my arm as I'm a type 1 diabetic. It uses the nfc and Bluetooth on my phone. I'm wondering if this is interfering with getting into the sol using the nfc. It shouldn't as I use my phone to pay contactless etc using nfc.
Given the massive queues outside the East Stand at 4.15pm I'm assuming people using the nearest entrance as usual. It's a pain in the arse
How odd. Wonder if it's down to the type of phone? Maybe some you have to manually enable NFC? Strange it worked so well for some, but not for others....
I gambled on using my Apple Watch (wallet synced from my iphone) and it worked no bother. My son went in ahead with his iphone and again, worked no bother. I wasn't even aware you can click on the ticket and retrieve a QR code I guess we'll all learn as the season goes on. Whopper in the queue ahead of me was only just emailing his ticket to his mate as we approached the turnstile
I bet he’s the only complaining that Sunderland are leaving it late getting people in in the transfer season as well
Same here, used my Apple Watch and worked straight away. Looked like the bloke at the turnstile who was helping people was just using the QR code on android devices Both my dad and my mate have android phones and he definitely used the QR rather than NFC.
Ah. Wonder if it's an Android thing then. You'd assume the club are doing similar analysis but I doubt it.....
I think that's probably right Daz, two people with us went through with their IPhones using (I think) NFC but we had to scan the QR codes on Android
I can’t remember any game since the SoL opened where so many people were in their seats before kick off.
Used the NFC on my Google phone no problem for both myself and the grandson. If I read it correctly, it wouldn't allow me to enter in the wrong turnstile. I was supposed to go in 30-32 but tried going in 29, it ticked the box on my phone but the turnstile wouldn't let us in. This was using match tickets rather than a season ticket
Comms on this has been a debacle mind. I’ve (luckily) had no issues. My son mo issues (both on iPhone). But my mate’s son hasn’t got his, so he was told to email but go to the ticket office on Sunday. Ticket office saud 3 people are working on the emails and there are over 7000 to get through! Absolutely shocking state of affairs if true
Just saw someone on Twitter (I know, probably bollocks) has received a ticket for tonight’s game but hasn’t ordered one
So it should be. Never understand people turning up 5 mins before KO and not taking their seats until 5 mins into the game. There is a middle aged couple in front of me who never make kick off and it's always because they wanted one last pint(!)
