Got to wonder why Pritchard and Baath are not starting for us. There might be rumours about them leaving, but until they do, they're Sunderland players.

Our front 4 don't work very closely together. As good as Jobe looked for the first 30 minutes, he wasn't the link up player in attack. We're too predictable.

We also need that holding midfielder, because we're going to concede far too many goals without one.

Since he’s been on , obviously. Had the ball four times, given it away four times

We look much more likely to concede than score

Everything in the ground is flat. Spark needed. Ekwah is strolling and lads like Hume and Clarke and Roberts are off it. First day blues. If there is one thing we are seeing it is a number 9 that has clever movement is needed. Need rigg for the ground.

Hate to criticise Mowbray but ekawh cant play the Neil role and Hume cannot play a Stones role. Some lessons learmt.

That is one of the worst substitutions I’ve ever seen from Mowbray. Sticking Clark in the middle of essentially a midfield 6 when he has no strength at all.

If this doesn’t prove we need a fourth striker at the club I don’t know what will.

Moving Clarke centrally completely nullifies him and our attack. Roberts naturally drifts infield and Ba looks pretty ineffective so we are incredibly narrow against a team with 3 centre halfs

Not sure what you’ve got against Ekwah so much but first half he played the DM role better than Neil has ever done it.

**** me man what a start this is. Hopefully this performance will make us pull our finger out on the forward reinforcement front.

Poor home form from last season carried onto this season.

    Hume 2nd yellow sent off.

    It gets worse

That from Hume is what has pissed me off the most. Our mentality has been appalling
