I like the look of Bellingham and hes certainly going to have a big future but right now he hasnt done or shown enough to start infront of Pritch. Id be abit pished off if i was him.

There front 3 will cause us problems, will be so important that neil n ekwah are aware of the movement in behind them

The key will be if we can get roberts n clarke the ball early if their wingbacks are out posiiton - stretch their back 3

Pritchard as an impact sub is the best role for him at the minute, i get what you are saying but ipswich have lots of energy so think bellingham is better to match that then pritchard on to win us the game

I hope Broadhead doesnt make us regret not paying 1.5m to sign him, which right now feels like a bargain

he will only ever be a good championship level striker IMO. That’s not the ceiling we seem to be looking for, even if he’d be a good signing in the present

You’ve hit the nail on the head there. We’ll be looking to sign young, inexperienced premier league ability players imo.

1.5m for a player who was a success for us, that can play through the middle or out wide to gain us promotion and over 100m in Sky money was a no brainer imo

but it’s the whole “model” isn’t it. Every player we are signing, unless they’re frees like Dack, are players with the potential to play in the premier league. Which I don’t think Broadhead is (and it seems the club agrees).
He’s a very good championship striker so if it wasn’t our strategy he’d be a great signing at that price.

also worth remembering he was on a fair whack at Everton and there’s every chance Ipswich are paying him more than we would be willing to. They’re loaded and spending it.

It just seems peanuts for a player that would more than contribute in promotion. He can play as a lone striker, front 2 or out wide.
David Nugent used to move around Championship clubs and as soon as they got promoted theyd sell him on to another promotion favourite in the Championship and hed do the same with them.. he was never quite good enough for the Prem, but hed help teams get promoted.
At 24 we would have been able to potentially make a profit from selling him on aswell further down the line.
