Yep, really don't understand what the lad / his family thinks he's gonna get out of it,. Maybe a quick buck for his agent? Even that seems short-sighted though as he'd surely be far more likely to progress and break into the first team here thus increasing his value at a younger age therefore more Dosh for him & agent if he moves in 4 or 5 years instead?

Really struggling to understand who benefits from this (besides Chelsea).

Some bad advise somewhere. Parents have probably been bought some nice new things!

Fair bit of competition for his signing if that's to be believed.

Perhaps the two mowbray alluded to were abline on loan and one of rusyn/aravena on a permanent?

straight into the Chelsea black hole. Good luck to the lad. Hopefu lly this move isn't a chance for a chance to brag from whomever advised him.

Considering we're theee club for development or youth and a history of home grown players actually making it to the first team and more so in goal, its an odd decision.

Someone suggested to me that Stewart feels he missed out on a big signing fee, when he came to Sunderland.

That's why a move now, with a low transfer fee, could generate a big lump sum.

I'm sick of hearing about money in football ...

... its becoming bigger than the game ffs.

Good luck to the lad, wasn't really suited to our league, especially after his bad injury. Hopefully get a couple in next week

Wish him well. Had a go here but didn’t quite impress enough.

Hopefully a nice bit of coin in our pockets.

Not losing sleep over Lihadji going.

didn’t play much so obviously not seen as good enough

when he did play he looked talented but ineffective and not suited

he’s signed for a Qatari club - not a European one. I know going to Saudi is popular now but the fact he’s not going to a top league tells you plenty about the rest of Europe agreeing with us
