You also said it was often considered a country!
I'm going legal. Also getting the Sun to investigate.
    Prize suggestion:
Write match threads for an entire season.
And with that in mind i withdraw my objections <laugh>

New experience for me today. I've been suffering with a blocked right ear for almost 4 weeks and no amount of ear drops would ease it. It's actually quite debilitating listening with one ear and trying to lip read as well. So this morning I had my ear unblocked by suction at a local audiologist. It wasn't a pleasant experience as the ear canal was completely blocked by hardened wax and dead skin, however the relief I felt when the process was over felt really good. I am now able to hear normally and have even had to turn the TV and car radio volume down a few clicks. Got to go back in a couple of weeks to check all is well, but I am sure it will be. The downside is that BfB sits to the right of me at CCS and I will now have to listen to him ranting at the referees and linesmen again.

I went to see the Swans today.........

    No, not the JB's.

The Swannery at Abbotsbury near Weymouth. Hundreds of them. Some in pairs with cygnets, their own and fostering others but the vast majority sunning and preening themselves on the land between Chisil Beach and the sea.

A lovely, peaceful afternoon in the sunshine with Mrs. BfB, my daughter, her husband and 2 grand daughters. The recent addition didn't take much notice but the 2 1/2 year old absolutely loved it as did we.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in that part of the world.

How can you tell the difference between their own cygnets and fostered ones?

You can't. But the guys running the place can and they know which swan adult pairs are happy to foster. One pair had 16 in the pen with them. Must have been at least 2 sets of foster kids. Don't know what happened to the original parents.

Parents with fostered cygnets are kept in separate pens until the cygnets are big enough to look after themselves.

Still not on to the concreting yet.
A day of trauma today. The lambs were separated from their mums.
Lots of blaating as the lambs went on a solo adventure.
All lambs innoculated, then boys in one field, girls in another.
Lots of grass and total silence as the lambs began to wonder what the fuss was about.
Mrs remote in the pen pushing things through, daughter with the inoculation gun in the race and me on the shedding gate. Got them all right so didn't get shouted at.

Away for work tonight (so technically away from football), this is the view from the corridor immediately outside of my room.

Mad to think their capacity isn't far off that of the CCS!
