He's been in the job one year. Plus a week or so. He inherited ****e, and has spent that year buying some players, getting rid of some others. Are you that ****ing stupid that you think a guy walks in, clicks his fingers, and the next thing you know we're league champions again? I'd assume not, but not exactly sure in some cases. Pep's been at City six years, building his squad. Which is what Ten Hag has just started doing, but Pep has had a bit of a head start like. They are literally Abu Dhabi FC. He's a great manager, but he must be like a kid in a sweet shop. #bitter
One of whom is a first teamer. Am I allowed to mention that United have had a home grown player in every match day squad for over a thousand games? Google it, you might find it interesting.
Rico Lewis and Cole-Palmer were playing first team football last season. Plenty of it. Man Utd have always been great at bringing through youth. Not sure how that’s relevant to a debate about Pep apparently only being successful because of the money he spends.
They were playing fleetingly and occasionally. Let's not pretend they are first teamers yet. Every member of Peps preferred first 15 is bought, bar Foden. I didn't bring it up anyway, you did. That's the only reason I even mentioned it. Do you genuinely think three or four fringe players is some mega success rate ffs? And the actual success, Foden, was there before Pep by the way. So, he inherited him from Pelegrini. I've had mates been talking about Phil Foden since he was about 14 years old.
Must have been the other Pinkie. Ramsdale is very good. He's prone to some erratic errors at times though Raya will give him brilliant competition for the No1 Jersey.
I don't think that will happen. Matt Turner is going to be sold and I think Raya and Ramsdale will push each other for the No1 spot
I'd agree with Luv here, no way Raya leaves Brentford to go as anyone's understudy. He goes there as the first choice. After having smoke blown up his arse for a season, I'd doubt Ramsdale hangs around as a stand in either. Even though he ain't all that anyway.
I'm just happy that we've got two decent keepers battling it out for the jersey. Ramsdale was good last season, but he's got mistakes in him. Hopefully this will make him up his game as he didn't really have any competition last season.
Whoever gets that no1 spot will be there on merit It's just good to have two decent keepers battling for it Apparently we were after Raya before we signed Ramsdale.
