Afternoon all, On the captaincy I think it is the right thing to do to leave it on Cooper this season. He had shown himself to be a good leader both in and off the pitch. I think the most important thing regarding the captaincy now is appointing a good vice captain. A player who will be one of the first names on the team sheet. Cooper can carry on doing what he is doing off the pitch as captain and if and when he plays on the pitch. But a strong voice captain running the on pitch things match to match should be some one like Adams. A year as vice captain and then ready to replace Cooper next season in the prem.
Did rads sack orta or did he leave knowing the 49ers did not want him. He was just the first to jump ship knowing others could do the same. I am hoping he makes his usual mess like at boro and leeds.
Or wants to do it on the cheap. These 49ers had to employ a firm to tell them how to get out of this league. They have had long enough to learn but need someone to blame if it goes wrong. Marathe says he has been around football a long time. It's not as if they have come to save us is it?. This guy from Liverpool is 26 ffs and is a spare. They loaned him out so he is not what we want for the future. Leeds need to build and tie players down with contracts that benefit the club.
Orta quit as he wanted Gracia to stay. He was outvoted, with a view of taking Sam Allardyce on, which Orta also disagreed with.
That may have been the excuse but he had made a right mess and knew. So off he ran and took his massive ego with him.
So let me ask a question.... Who would have been happy with 4 days to the first game to see all those players leave and only 2 come in. It's the 2nd August and still the owners dick about.
Very happy thank you. You seem to have forgotten about loan players that have returned...or do they not count ?
Should probably add that getting rid of those that have left is a good thing in my opinion. Delighted to have a great new coach as well.
Just read that most PL clubs have named their squads now, so plenty of loans going to be available for circling Championship clubs. No idea who's available but it's s market we're supposedly interested in.
Forgotten man Jamie Shacklton actually made 36 apperances last season down at Millwall. Not bad for someone considered a failure and was often used in the last 30 mins when the game is more open so could be a vital sub for us this season.
Bate /poveda /gelhardt are a no from me. Dramah is injured.. We think but is he heading to the prem with Luton. Shakleton is not for me either he has no set position. Hopeless as a full back due to his height.
The players we had out on loan last season were deemed not good enough for the prem. yes the likes of Drameh, Cresswell and Joffy all on the verge now, but I don’t think we have enough for promotion just yet. We need some flair and guile in the middle and up top, we need lots of goals and a good backstop. These need to be brought in and only a few days from a new season.
Of the players that have left the only one we'll miss is Rodrigo because of his goals. However we won't miss his stinky attitude at times and the games where he couldn't even trap a bag of cement. The rest good riddance and I'd much rather have players like Cresswell & Dan James who actually want to be here any day of the week.

We dont know as yet who stays they could all be gone by next week? Add to that Adams who would help lock the back down but again who is staying?
