Sheff Utd losing Ndiaye to Marseille for 20m. With McAtee and Doyle gone too, it would be a brave move for any player going there. Bottom three all season probably.
Klopp whining as usual, that the saudi league is making his life difficult. As far as I can see it's done them a massive favour as they have sold two older players for big fees meaning they can...oh wait yeah, continue to low ball us.
£8m ish Guessing we'll now announce Arsenal youngster today. Go hard after Holgate or whoever the top target is and wait to get the cash we want for ABK and Lyanco before thinking any more about it - gives us the cb wriggle room we've been waiting for. Personally, I'd loan ABK to a decent side who want him to start. See that as win win.
ABK has a 25m release clause so it may well not be our decision to make. Why loan him though? If no one bids 25m Id rather keep him.
If those fees are correct then we are selling for about half the price we bought him for a season ago, not our greatest signing of all time that one! I don't even think he's that bad, and he's still only 26. But definitely wasn't going to work out here with the style we want to play, so be happy to get another player out and off the books. Neeeeext.
If you read and believe all the ITK experts, because Wet Spam walked away from the JWP we are begging them to come back to the negotiating table to take him off our hands for a much reduced fee. Seriously? Wet Spam appear to be getting desperate According to a “Hammers Expert” on talkSport yesterday there are serious issues behind the scenes at the London Stadium Porn Kings. Lots of players trying to leave, Moyes threatening to leave, DofF in battle against Moyes, Board loathed to spend money etc. why would JWP want to go to this shambles?
I was thinking the same thing. It isn't for money. He is still on 100k here and West ham apparently have concerns over his wages. So it must be to play permier league football. In my eyes they are prime for relegation. Their best player has gone and not a single player brought in. Add that to the mess behind the scenes and last seasons struggles that the ECL somewhat masked, they don't look like a particularly safe bet.
Because I don't think he wants to stay and play in the championship. And a good season at an Ajax type side could mean megabucks next season or a starting PL cb if we go up. If he does have a £25m release clause then ignore!
Another player who would benefit from a season in the Championship getting kicked about a bit. Needs to learn his trade a bit; as we saw against Notts Forest where he got beaten all ends up and claimed a hamstring problem. He has all the potential in the world but that’s not going to be realised sitting and warming benches from so called bigger clubs.
From his perspective, he's a German international defender who is wanted by top tier clubs as a starting centre back. He doesn't want to be playing for us in the championship.
I’m sure I said something similar a while back when some people were describing West Ham as a clear step up (which it still is). But the claim was about how they won a European cup, have been in Europe for years and would be pushing up the league. I suggested they nearly got relegated and it was dismissed- even though they stayed up by six points, basically got a very late kick of momentum and there was constant talk of Moyes being sacked until they won that European comp I wouldn’t be surprised if they were not going to match jwp’s wages and hoping to trade on reputation and PL football
And they'd have gotten away with it if it wasn't for the pesky fact that Sky has nothing to do with Sky Bet.
