This all wreaks of what they did to us with VVD. They won't get it over the line, will have to apologise, and then come back in January with their tail between their legs and pay £60m

 

The issue this time is I don't think Lavia will be here in January. We refused to sell VVD in the summer window, that's why he left in January. Not the case with Lavia - if Liverpool don't make an acceptable offer I'm willing to bet someone else will.

 

I think you're probably right but it will in part depend on whether Lavia is set on Liverpool in the same way VVD was. Would he turn down someone else to get his favoured move? If I recall, VVD made it clear to other interested parties that it was only Liverpool that he would move to.

 

Wonder how Lavia will react to this? I'm assuming he had his heart set on a move to Liverpool.

I did question it being scouted at 41. My trials there were in 1996!

Money sadly. Contact someone claiming to be a scout, claim that kit for the trial costs £x, wait for desperate people to pay. Rinse and repeat. Its a surprisingly common fraud
