The delays on Saturday were largely down to a lot of people turning up late and inexplicably without their e-tickets downloaded to the wallet. Hopefully this will not be the case on Sunday. I will be going early just in case.

Just got mine through there - how do we go about using a mates card if they can’t make the match?

2023-24 digital season tickets are currently being dispatched to supporters ahead of the new campaign.

This process will be complete by 10:00 on Wednesday 2nd August, with over 27,000 season tickets already delivered to fans via email.

If you have not received the email containing your 2023-24 season ticket by 10:00 tomorrow, please get in touch with the ticket office as soon as possible.

You can do this by emailing our digital support team at [email protected], or by visiting the Stadium of Light ticket office during standard opening hours.

Fans that opted for a physical card are advised that they will not receive a digital season ticket via email.

If you have any further questions, please contact the ticket office.

Supporters are encouraged to arrive early at the Stadium of Light on Sunday, with over 40,000 fans expected to attend the Club’s opening fixture versus Ipswich Town.

Fans can enjoy 50% off all drinks, including alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, on the concourses until 16:30, excluding the away section of the stadium.

Digital season tickets are currently being dispatched to supporters ahead of the new campaign, with this process due to be concluded by 10:00 on Wednesday 2nd August.

If you have not received the email containing your 2023-24 season ticket by 10:00 tomorrow, please get in touch with the ticket office as soon as possible.

You can do this by emailing our digital support team at [email protected], or by visiting the Stadium of Light ticket office during standard opening hours.

Upon receiving the email containing your digital season ticket, you should be able to add it to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay by following a few simple steps.

For further information about how to add your digital season ticket to your smart device (smartphone or smartwatch), please visit our video tutorials section.

It is important to add your digital season ticket to your smart device (smartphone or smartwatch) prior to arriving at the Stadium of Light on Sunday, as failure to do this in advance may delay you and other supporters when entering the stadium.

If you would like to view further information about how to access the turnstiles using your digital season ticket, please click here.

A dedicated meet and greet team will also be on hand to help fans that require a helping hand on Sunday, so if you require a little extra help, please ask a member of our team or your fellow supporters.

Don't think it makes a difference Olly, I am on Android and my NFC is turned on and I can see my QR code, my mate is on Apple with NFC on and his QR code is visible if you go into the details and scroll down

If it’s a digital ticket he can transfer to anyone his contacts list on his safc account. Once the chosen game had gone it will automatically revert back to the season ticket holder. Info on the safc website.

This is all still a bit vague mind and don't really see any need for transferring it, certainly to a family member but I guess it makes sense as a one off. I'm assuming when its transferred that person will receive a ticket digitally and need to add it to their wallet.

For example, there's probably nothing stopping me from adding my digital ticket to my brothers phone now and having it on mine. Will only allow one of us to use it I'd imagine (If not it will be bedlam on Sunday!) but it means he can go if I'm away.

Aye I noticed the info on forwarding was a bit vague. Few times last season one of us couldn’t go for whatever reason so obviously we’d just give one another our season card to use. From the looks of the info on the FAQ’s you just forward the ticket on eTicketing and they can download it for that one game only, but I’ve no idea if it’s an instant transferral or a request that needs authorising.

Daz I am sure I read, that a ticket can only be operable on one phone at a time, so if you did add it to your brothers phone it wouldn't work on yours.

*Edit* I can't find what I read but this is what it says in the FAQ's on SAFC.com

"More than one digital ticket can be loaded to one smart device (smartphone or smartwatch), although each digital ticket can only be loaded once."

I am on android Dave and know nothing about apple, but your phone and watch will be the same account won't they? I think it must mean that you can't send it to another device which is on a different account.
