It is only guesswork by someone, but doesn't seem too far from reality to me. What struck me was the number of new signings in this team.
Yes need a real defensive midfielder there . Has Ince been injured btw? Not played at all in Pre-seaosn. Bet Healey thought he was coming to be first choice too.
If I understand the system to be used, the team will change shape depending on the situation and Sierralta will step back into a central CB position with the full backs moving to wing backs but also with the option to be inverted. This will only work when Sierralta is fit and in form. Is there someone else that can play a duel roll?
That would make it a 3-4-3 formation which I would love to see work properly Not sure if Pollock could fit that role, if not we are limited in our options
After some very distasteful comments in some places, not here, Andrew French has written a piece in the WO that is worth a few minutes of your time. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...initely-crossed-reaction-new-watford-captain/
Daniel may not be our best ever goalkeeper but I very much doubt he is our worst There are parts of his games that need some coaching, and something his detractors may have missed or forgotten is that Ben Foster, one of the very best ever keepers had the worst stats in the Premier League when we were relegated playing behind the same defence that Daniel played behind last year If the midfield and attack had been at their best last season we would have been in the playoffs as a minimum, even Pedro who seemed to be loved by the fans DID NOT perform after Christmas along with Sarr our most expensive ever signing I do not blame the defence or goalkeeper for finishing mid table last year, but the so called superstars who played in front of them and let themselves and us fans down last year They are no longer with us
In JP's defence, I think he was trying to do the work of some of those other "missing stars" as well as his own job. He was ultimately disappointing in the last quarter of the season but that's hardly surprising given the depths some of his team mates plummeted to.
Pedro was very good last season but did lack goals and seemed to be trying too much as others weren’t performing or fit . The defence as a whole was iffy at times but it seems Porteous gets loved whilst others are criticised .
Some wise words from SLB and his mum. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/23693209.watford-legend-speaks-reaction-bachmann-news/
Clubs, including Brighton, are apparently chasing Yasser Asprilla - some of whom seem to think that could get him for €4.5m. https://sportwitness.co.uk/brighton...n-player-also-followed-real-madrid-long-time/
I know everyone has a price, but is he even on the radar of being let go - seems that he is a player they would look to build the team around
I wouldn't have thought the club want to sell him - especially at that price. Am sure he was signed as one for the future - and the future is here.
Problem is if he is not played and treated as an important part of the squad he will end up going somewhere else for peanuts
