Think we may end up having to shop abroad simply because championship striker realise their earning potential. Gykores last season could have fixed his way out but followed the club line for 2 seasons and then got a move to Portugal and a big pay rise. Piroe is just the same all about himself and his earning power down the road. We were also chasing that well known Blackburn winger who had a bit of Chile in him and he has walked away on a free transfer to a La Liga side. Any championship player who has a history of scoring looks after himself. We will end up with Johnny Foreigner striker…… or FARKE will say Rutter or Joseph will score lots of goals so not bothering buying anyone

Proof if needed that we don’t have a striker in Bamford. Yes we may have a monster on our hands with Rutter as he has looked good but unlucky today to get a knock. Lets hope he’s ok for next week, but who then if we don’t go out and buy a striker now. Joseph? Gelhardt? We are not going up without scoring goals and we have only scored 3 in pre season.
So as a continuation of the mornings conversation can we all agree that we need a new striker as Bamford just can't cut the mustard physically or mentally?

The fact it’s a long season doc at least we have a bit of time to get up to speed. Three or four wins from first eight games would do fine. That’s providing the other glaring issues with the squad are addressed. We’ve seen today what two injuries can do to the squad. That’s five players on treatment table at least and season hasn’t even kicked off.
The player power train goes on big time. Found out yesterday that the £50m release clause in Dembele’s Barcelona contract works in the players favour. PSG have triggered it and looks like Dembele has agreed it, but time limited to today. £25m of the £50m goes straight to Dembele only half to Barcelona, did Orta do that deal ….
Just to add to docs story,
If dembele is not sold today the release clause goes up to 100m€.
Barca are in panic mode.
Also if PSG do not sell Mbappe today he receives a 40m€ loyalty bonus.
Not bad considering that he's not gone on their tour of asia and is in Paris training with the youth setup.
