Haway, it's Friday. What's on the drinks menu tonight?

I've just had a couple pints of Cruzcampo in North Biddick Club, currently supping a can of Brewdog Lost Lager. Fancy a wine next, maybe a red but probably a rose seeing as it's still warm outside.

    What you on?

Well, funny you should ask. I am off to the local in a bit, see a mate, and they have Jakehead on tap at the minute <cheers><cheers> will have no more than 1 of them because it induces a form of verbal stupidity. A fresh Lagonda barrel on tonight so 1 of those too.

Home for 9 and then it will be you know what, been a long week..

Just had a pint of Yorkshire Moors and two pints of Yorkshire Classic bitter in the New Inn Cropton. Sitting and chatting with a beautiful woman (not the wife). Feeling chilled now.

Pints (dont like short drinks) of cheap whisky and fizzy watta, living the dream. Committed to weighing the same or less than I did when I was 18 by Xmas, so little to no carbs in my life for now. Nearly there, lost 2 and a bit stone. Going away in august too so need some credit in the bank to fully embrace me best mate, San Miguel.

Got 8 cans of Guinness in the fridge and a fully charged nitrosurge device.
Will be having a look to see what's on bbc4 and Sky Arts....if its crap it will be youtube.

Love a bit of music and a few cans on a Friday. Other days are also available.

Is the nitrosurge any good, mate? Had this conversation with me mate the other day and we concluded that we'd both probably get one but in all likelyhood a gimmick that would get hoyed by this time next year.

It's great mate, I use it all the time now.
I've only bought the nitrosurge cans once though....I'm not paying £8 for 4 cans. It's just guinness but without the widget.
The normal Guinnes draught works just as well, the trick is is to open the can without activating the widget. I stick a pin in the top of the can to release the pressure slowly, you can hear it hiss, and the can will go "soft" when it's done...takes about 20 seconds.
Then attach surger, and do two-part pour. Makes for a much creamier head...just like pub Guinness.

Tesco quite often do the device for £22 if you have a clubcard.

Bottle of my favourite red, Masso Antico Primitivo, then finishing off, literally, a bottle of Tullamore Dew (it only had a couple of measures left honestly)

    Well it was my 60th...
Started early in the bar on-site with a pint of Daleside Blonde. Got changed and had a Plymouth Gin n tonic then off to my favourite steakhouse nearby, The Guy Fawkes, Scotton, Knaresborough. Pint of Black Sheep with my prawn cocktail and a nice Cotes Du Rhone and a glass of water with my steak medallion. Finished off with a coffee and miniature sticky toffee pudding. Got back to the caravan but rather stuffed so passed on the Dalwhinnie present and had a green tea as we watched a couple of episodes of Only Fools (my sons current favourite on dvd) included the fishing trip and the one where Rodney invited Dels old school friend Slater back to the flat... happy birthday indeed <cheers>

Thought I would mix things up a bit tonight, and have a Guinness out of this can....never had one from this can before.
It's out of the same case I had last night, but a different can. Tastes the same mind.....strange that.
