Good Morning. It's Thursday 27th July, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road.

Hay demanding answers from 49ers over crazy contract stipulations

Elland Road journalist Phil Hay has performed a 180 degree u-turn, regarding the absurd loan situation at Leeds Utd, and is now demanding answers!

Several weeks ago, the former Chief Football Writer for the Yorkshire Evening Post was normalising the temporary exits, yet speaking this week on 'The Square Ball', he has obviously had a complete change of heart!

Hay describes Wober's impending exit as 'a kick in the teeth', and has demanded that the club reveal the reasons for the crazy stipulations built into the players contracts, allowing them, and their agents creative control.

Such conditions are illogical, and certainly not in fitting with other teams that have found themselves relegated in the past. Let's take Burnley as an example. This time last year, they sold four players, totaling £70m, but their only player of note that went out on loan, was Wout Weghorst, for which they received £2.5m. There were a number of players who were loaned out, but these were to lower league clubs to either gain experience or were deemed not good enough.

It can only be one of two things. It's either gross negligence or sabotage! Either way, it doesn't look good for 49ers Enterprises.

According to Hay "Wober seems to me to be the first real kick in the teeth in terms of departures from Leeds. "I think the other players who have gone, and there is clearly this issue about the loans and I think at some point the club are going to have to explain, you know, on the record about how this is working and what the upside is."

Darlow set for medical as cut price deal revealed

Karl Darlow has agreed personal terms, and will undergo a medical at Thorp Arch tomorrow, before being unveiled as Leeds second signing of the Summer. He came close to signing for Bournemouth last week, but couldn't reach an agreement with Newcastle Utd. Darlow too, expressed his desire to stay up North, closer to friends and family.

The Geordie's have agreed a cut price deal of just £400,000 for the 32yo shot-stopper, a far cry from his £5m price tag. It is expected that Illan Meslier will finalise a move away from Elland Road as soon as Darlow arrives.

Cressy holding out on new terms due to Premier League interest

Media outlet 'Last word on football' have dropped a bombshell after revealing that Charlie Cresswell could be heading for the exit door, and refusing a new contract.

The highly talented centre-back has recently returned from International duty, after Euro success with England, and is expected to play a major part in proceedings this season. However, interest from two unnamed Premier League clubs have turned his head, and he's now refusing to discuss a new and improved long term deal with the club.

Cressy came close to joining Coventry City in January, after Leeds agreed a fee with the Sky Blues, only for the 20yo to turn the move down. If these latest rumours are true, this will devastate the Leeds faithful, who see him as a big part of the clubs success moving forward.

    Morning all

Cresswell has two years left on his contract, offer him a new one, if he refuses to sign say okay, you’re here for the next two years.

Good price for Darlow, I know he’s 33 but I still feel it’s a nice capture. It’s easy for us to reflect on our own financial position but remember, Hull wanted to sign this guy and they couldn’t afford his wages/fee.

Phil Hay - Who does he think he is demanding answers about something the departed Orta and Radz agreed on, we can’t change it, we’re all annoyed but there is zilch anyone can do.

Morning all. Presume everyone has now left the Orta fan club. Not only did they FCK the club for this season but will likely take a few more to iron out. Anyway Eire will be happy with a mid table finish as it'll mean well have won more than last two seasons combined so lots more positive post match feelings

What difference does it make anymore what contracts they sign. They are utterly meaningless except for a pay rise for the player

    Morning all,

I know Phil Hay isn't liked by some on here and can't help feeling that the wording is the above article isn't going to help.

I've listened to the podcast in question and it isn't nearly as dramatic as it is being made or to be.

He is a journalist who asks questions and offers his opinion when asked. . He isn't a shock jock piers Morgan type.

He often says I don't know rather than try and pass opinion off as fact.

Struijk also said that the style of football last seasons coaches implemented didn’t suit his style and he found it hard, not to mention the stints at LB. He is happy that Farkes possession based game suits how he was brought up to play football.

I wouldn’t rule out a Struijk/Amapadu partnership if Struijk can regain his form

Just finished reading an article on our interest for Glen Kamara.

Leeds were alerted to his availability several days ago and Farke was asked if he would be interested. Between Farke and the scouts, they’ve been watching him, unclear if that’s footage or preseason.

Farke likes what he’s seen, and he is interested, so Leeds are said to now have a genuine interest and have made an initial enquiry.

When you look at the context, and timescale from the initial reports that came out a couple of weeks ago, it’s easy to see why we sometimes ask, why it takes so long.

Thought he came over really well, he appears enthusiastic about playing for us, which is what we all want to hear.

Morning everyone i have had an enjoyable morning at wakey rugby league club. It was an open training session with plenty of kids there. We got seats and there was a raffle for four free tickets for sunday.. I did not win. All the players and reserves came to the fans to sign shirts etc and have photos. Big difference from those premier league nancy boys after the Palace game.

Sounds like you won the raffle. If you'd lost then you'd have to go and watch them this weekend.

Klaessen's a decent shot stopper. Think his distribution is a work in progress.
