I think you need to look at it as the front three positions. All the players you mentioned can play in them but really only two of them are likely to be used centrally. Alan Nixon has wafer thin skin. Just noticed I am blocked by him on Twitter which is crazy as I don’t really use it. All I can think I would have said is that he had some bias in favour of northern clubs.
