In my unqualified opinion, playing as if an injury could affect an imminent big pay rise

When our defence settles it might get better? Attacking we looked great. Tella and Amo-Ameyaw are going to be so fun to watch!

Not bad, at 10 minutes in i thought it was going to be a whipping. We look good going forward with ameeomaye and edozie. Stephens and DCC were less nerv wracking than Lyanco.

We still have no idea who will be here at the start of the season.

The daft goals conceded will be outweighed by the number of goals we'll score.

What a difference Smallbone and Stephens made when they came on
Smallbone must be first choice midfielder at the moment

Dear god, I implore you not to look at the comments on the Saints Facebook page. Our fans are something else...

There once was one where he just took the ball out of the air like it was a ground pass where I thought… this kid is special.

That will depend on who we bring in.

If we end the window with this squad (I know we won't) then we would really struggle. It all comes down to the quality of new signings and how well suited they are to Martin's style of play.

Where did I say that? His all round performance tonight is enough to want to pay him off. Not suited and not a good enough backup.

It was the timing of your comment - it came straight after the 3rd goal. FWIW I think we should get rid of him. Bazunu will improve, McCarthy won't.

So us Saints fans know we need another keeper (hopefully the management do too)
Who do you all think would be target for us?

Paying macca off or a compromise should be done, We need a decent solid number of one. Bazunu for me Is for the future.

    Just my reflections on tonight….

Lyanco- rough week for him, even rougher performance
    Djenepo- absolutely woeful, needs releasing
McCarthy- with ball at feet he is truly awful
Lavia (from tonight)- get him gone, heads been turned, he can do one
Alcarez- poor tonight needs to play higher
Tino- good to see him back, swung and missed for a tackle at one point and held his knee..!
Smallbone- very assured and composed, could be our best kept secret if JWP and RL disappear

Plus the new lads coming through we’re a joy to watch, first half was poor, second half got better as it went on, Saints left themselves short at the back after pushing on to score…

    .
Edozie was probably the most fouled player tonight, The ankle taps and shirt pulls may have been missed by the Officials but even with my failing eyesight, they were very easy to see in real time.
