Some official news from the club will be on the official website by 9;:30 tonight according to facebook page
New Cash Converters loyalty card to be launched, anyone getting one automatically becomes a Hull City member without having to pay the £5 annual fee or whatever they charge now.
It'll be something as pointless as that, they're always stringing us along with daft headlines suggesting something exciting when actually it's just a crap offer.
No such luck Here it is... Following the departure of Nigel Pearson to Leicester City, the club is delighted to announce that Nick Barmby has agreed to take on the role of Caretaker Manager for the foreseeable future. We would like to thank Nigel Pearson, as well as his assistants Craig Shakespeare and Steve Walsh, for their hard work during their time at the club, and wish them all the best for the future. Having overseen training over the course of the last week, Nick's first game in charge will be this Saturday's trip to Derby County. The club would like to stress that there is no present interest in pursuing alternative managerial candidates at this time. Nick will be assisted by Stuart Watkiss as first-team coach, Seamus McDonagh as goalkeeper coach and a new addition, Darren Robinson joining us from Nottingham Forest. Nick will also be joined by a new assistant manager in the near future. We are sure that all Hull City fans will join us in wishing Nick all the very best of success in his new role.
Well nothing new in that statement, a little annoying that if they want to appoint barmby they just dont do it rather then say he will be caretaker for the foreseeable and they arent really looking at a long term man
Since we tried to get Joyce does not having any immediate plans to bring in a permanent manager sound like we still want him and are planning to wait for a suitable time?
Exactly as expected, a tough few fixtures ahead mind, so if he gets it he'll have earned his permanent contract. Barmby Army!!
This covers all bases, if he does well he'll be here permanently, if he turns out to be a bit **** they can get somebody new in. Common sense.
Seems like it's Barmby's job if he does well and wants it, but it would be a bit daft just to give him the job straight away.
Smug bastard is the word to sum up Nige. I sincerley hope we stuff them into the middle of next year in a couple of weeks. I always gave Nige the benefit of doubt regarding his dour tone and interview style but those 'all pals together' pics just made me realise I was a fool and he never wanted to be here. It was a step above the dole for him and we are better off without him in the long run! Lets get behind Nick and the boys for the rest of the season. Nicky Barmbys Black and Amber Army!!!
Looks like we've just recalled Nigel back from his loan spell with you guys. Anyway good luck for the rest of the season.
Nigel Pearson Man of morals.... my 4rse.... now history... Just want to wish Nicky all the best, in this man we have found someone with loyalty and black and amber blood running through his veins, his knowledge of the game at the highest level is impressive, one small question I have is does he have his coaching badges yet ???, thought I read some time ago of another manager, possibly Roeder who was in charge at Newcastle and there was a cafuffle regarding him being a manager and not having the necessary coaching badges in place, which was against FIFA rules. Anyway lets hope the wee man can inspire the lads to bigger and better things, but one warning Nicky.... Hang up your boots mate and concentrate on the job in hand.
