Seems like they are trying again Pete O'Rourke is normally on the pulse when things are happening or not. think #westham or #Spurs would be a better move than #Wolves
I’d think more likely to get games with wolves. if he plays I agree, but personally I’m sceptical, I think the best he can hope for with either is bench warming. If he stays with us and can add goals and assists to his game it’ll improve his chances of moving to a better PL side. Obviously we’re only looking on from the outside, there’s lots that goes on behind the scenes that we’ve no ideal about.
Han-Noah Massengo rejects Burnley https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2023/han-noah-massengo-rejects-burnley/ https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/former-bristol-city-midfielder-turns-8626183
He was never going to play for Burnley, I don’t think he’s good enough for the PL, I can see him going back to France unfortunately for us.
You have to wonder who is advising HNM, or, is he not listening, and has ideas above his station? https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/former-bristol-city-midfielder-turns-8626183
I actually like players that want to play rather than are just happy to go to a club and pick up good wages for bench sitting. HNM is still young and needs to play to improve. Maybe a move back to France would be better for him in the long run, obviously from our perspective I would prefer him to go to an English club as we’d get more Money.,
This would be good business and if Kalas is off even better-no transfer fee, Bristol City, QPR, PNE, and Coventry on transfer alert after Wigan Athletic decision Bristol City have an opportunity to sign a centre-back on a free transfer following a controversial decision. Bristol City have an opportunity to sign Jack Whatmough on a free transfer after leaving Wigan Athletic. He only penned a two-year with the Latics on February, but now he has notified them of his decision to leave. The 26-year-old was free to leave the DW Stadium because of numerous times he wasn’t paid on time by the former ownership. In a club statement published by the League One team on Wednesday night, it read: “Following advice and guidance from the PFA, Jack Whatmough and Jamie McGrath made the decision to terminate their contracts due to repeated contractual breaches under the previous ownership. “The Club made repeated efforts to retain both players, but ultimately a decision has been made to focus on the future under the new ownership in this exciting new era for Wigan Athletic. “Both players have therefore left the club with immediate effect. We thank Jack and Jamie for their efforts whilst in a Latics shirt.” Whatmough was linked to a move to Ashton Gate last month by Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath. He suggested there would be a ‘scramble’ between the four Championship clubs who have scouted him. please log in to view this image
Can’t say I know much about him tbh. No employer should hold an employees wages; however, if there’s one profession that could cover these payment misses, it’s a professional footballer in England. So I would be worried about, is he a bit of a Judas who uses any opportunity to bail on a club??
It does say repeated breaches though, so I assume it didn’t only happen once. I agree though it does leave questions to be asked. I assume we’d do due diligence before we’d even consider him though.
Supcon/Ashton If I was 26 again, I wish, and my employer or customer failed to pay me then they wouldn't see my behind for dust. It's a short career, I would do exactly as Whatmough. Can't believe you two would be any different.
Here we go close to 30 million -not sure how a loan would work though-surely city would want a loan back for a season but there talking off a player coming our way
Do you believe every Twitter account? And then use emojis like you’re trying to educate us into thinking you in the know. If they tried it that way it won’t work, as the payment maybe later but the finances will be tagged to this years profits and losses. So they would be in the same predicament as if they handed over the money today.

Supcon’s point was footballers are better placed than most of us to absorb wages being late. As far as I’m aware they were eventually paid. I commented that leaving his previous club by terminating his contract would leave questions to be asked, and if we were interested in signing him we’d do due diligence, by that I meant, amongst other things, we’d investigate the circumstances to understand exactly what happened. That seems a perfectly reasonable stance to me. I assume at 26 you weren’t being paid thousands of pounds per week, so were unlikely to be able to absorb being paid late.
