Thought I read and saw FARKE say weeks ago that it would be right up to the end of the window before we see the first team properly. To me that says he is fully aware of what he’s dealing with

I'm not sure if I heard him properly yesterday but thought I heard Dorigo say he was expecting a couple of players in, within the next few days. Wasn't sure if he said expecting or more like expecting as in hoping for, anyone else hear him say it?

It’s not just our fans. Thing about football fans in general… it’s our national sport. It’s followed by people who don’t follow other sports, who don’t have an interest in sport or understand it. You can watch football all your life and not have fckng clue.

As I prove on a regular basis.

I'll put it like this... There are people on this board who say we won't be able to sell the likes of Firpo or Bamford. I've got to disagree with that. Yes certain players were terrible last season but there will be clubs interested or monitoring the situation with players. We are currently in the championship with what should be a premier league team. Of the price is right then teams are going to pick these players up and we really can't stand in their way. What we gong to do male the supposed 8 who want to leave play with the kids? If AC want Sini and are willing to pay £20 million. Do you think we're gonna stand in his way. Same with Gnonto.

There’s no way anyone’s going to come even close to matching what Bamford has left on his contract even on half wage. How do we shift him.

    I'll put it like this.

There's more chance of finding a nun doing squats in a cucumber field than Bamford signing for Chelsea.

Jammy junior will learn more about life and ping pong balls in Patpong which no doubt is the back up plan.

I don't matter who the club is. There will be someone interested in Bamford

Di that leaves us with Strujk who's been told he can look for a new club. Cooper who we see as a back up and Cresswell who is wanted by Rangers.

    Not looking good is it

A good post that. Firstly I never thought we’d walk the Championship this year, whoever we bring in, or ship out. Think we’ll likely start slowly and hopefully see improvement from there. I have no idea who wants to stay, but believe we will have had discussions with all of the targets we are interested in. Whether we get them, who knows. Clearly from this piece, it’s not gonna be massive spending (never thought it would be), due to the profit and sustainability requirements of the EFL. So whether we like it or not, this suggests perhaps Orta and Radz did reasonable business in the contracts given, to those we have loaned out. I realise many will not agree.

I feel we need at least 4 players to challenge this year. Certainly a goal scorer (doesn’t everyone), a creative midfielder, LB and possibly a back up keeper, in case Meslier departs before the end of the window. I would also favour another CB, but feel they may use Ayling as a stopgap on the right side, if needed. However they are not likely to be Marquee signings, because we clearly won’t seeemingly have the ability to do that if we abide by the EFL rules. I believe, we might be in the promotion mix at seasons end, because I do believe individual performances will improve, a level down, and mistakes when they inevitably happen will be less costly. Is Nat Phillips still seen as the man Leeds want as he was the first name not long ago?

Does there seem to be any logic in signing strikers? Fulham on the verge of making near on £40m for Mitrovic and spend £5m on Raul Jimenez from Wolves a man who has never been prolific …… must mean Silva is fooking off to the desert but owners make a few quid and bet Paulinho will be out the door soon too

Think a reliable striker is essential in whichever division you’re playing in. By that I mean 20 goals a season. The trick is to make sure you have one, that’s fit for purpose, and has the skill and confidence to be able to do it at a higher level, if needed. Easy ! <laugh>

Got to say I was expecting quicker recruitment once the takeover was given the okay. Still, the one we’ve brought in is at least quality. Keep the signings this good and we might compete though have to say that I’m not over confident of a quick start. May have to wait until the squad is settled.

Seems Silva is turning down £20m per year to stay at Fulham. I remember when Ferguson was kicking off because Wenger was getting more than him at Arsenal on £2m per year so scum gave him £3m. When you think about the cash given to the likes of Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard it’s amazing be shut at coaching and win the lottery
