If it was the likes of Man City, Arsenal or even Man Utd no one would bat an eyelid. I think football and us in particular have moved on from having a striker to score all the goals for the team. Yes having Stewart and Simms out injured last season did hinder us at times but it also showed us there's another way of playing

I wonder if the club may take a slightly different approach to a couple of imcomings. We have had good success with the young and under the radar lads. Or one or two needing a bit of tlc. Maybe we might push things and sign a more ready made known quantity? I know Mowbray talks about experience but they often come with salary expectations, certainly from a decent level. Strikes me there are 1 or 2 strikers floating around that would be in our wage bracket and have a cracking goals record. I have said before Jonson Clarke-Harris would score boat loads in our team. Somebody says his attitude is questionable, but he keeps getting picked at Peterborough, and keeps firing them in. He lacks the obvious sell on value, but what value on 20 goals a season, which he would have every chance of getting here. I would be happy with a player like him coming here, to offer something more consistent than we might get elsewhere. Just an opinion up for laughing at.

 

The mad mistake has a lot to answer to! He "promised" Frigan was done. Mind you we were probs never seriously in for him.

It may be that Bob knows he isn’t in the list without knowing the contents of the list. Think it’s fair to say Bob has better links to the club than many and I’m happy to take him at his word.

Hopefully we sign Mayenda and bring in another loan forward with some more experience. Hemir and Mayenda wouldn't be enough and is also largely unfair on both of them. We need to close some deals on strikers.

Anyone know who the trialist was for the U21s today against King’s Lynn? Played on the wing and looked good apparently.

 

From what I understand they are looking closely at 2 at the minute.
