I stayed up way too late last night watching the cricket. I only missed the last hour or so... regretted it a bit at work today!

Great afternoon session, Creepy and Root on the charge

2. Crawley bowled by Green for majestic 189 off 182 balls
3. Crawley & Root put on 200 stand
4. England hit 178 runs in 25 overs in second session
5. Australia, who lead series 2-1, dismissed for 317

Great days cricket

 

Stayed until the end, 1.30am for me, but as I am retired have only just got up.

 

Root and Crawley majestic. Brook very subdued for him. Very enjoyable days viewing. But not for the Aussies I assume.

 

As good a 200+ partnership as you will ever see.
A dazzling array of on and off drives, cuts and pulls by both and numerous quick singles to
keep the scoreboard ticking - and leave the Aussies totally bewildered!

 

I looked at Smith's face several times, he was not a happy bunny.

Last wicket partnership of 66. Commentators expected England to declare at lunch, or when Broad was out.

 

Now to do the anti-rain dance so we get some nice grey overcast conditions for the bowlers

I looked at the weather radar and the best hope for play is early afternoon today and after about 4 tomorrow. 6 wickets,can we do it?

England need 5 wickets and to knock of the small total if Australia get ahead - Australia need to survive and are doing a rain dance

 

The weather looks to have thwarted England's victory. Oh well!
