Well, the British Open is with us again so let's make our predictions and enjoy the event. As an Aussie, l'm naturally hoping C. Smith can go back to back but no doubt, the quality of players around the world will ensure its no easy ride. Who else will give it a shake? Over to you folk ...................................... please log in to view this image Cameron Smith and R&A chief executive Martin Slumbers with the Claret Jug on Monday
I've done Scheffler at 8/1, if he could improve his putting he'd win by a distance. Also done Fowler at 22/1, playing great stuff at the moment. Clark at 50's , as I had a saver on him in the last major, Thomas at 50's, just cos the price is huge for him even if he is bang out of form. Gonna do Bradley each way at 100/1 also and Molinari each way at 500/1 ! His leg must've fallen off for him to be that price lol. Good luck all
Tell me your joking ? You can't really be backing the 2 biggest chokers in majors since the Boston Strangler !
Love to see Shane Lowry win it again. He is such a decent fella and loves a party. Any European would be good and any of the PGA members and not a LIV Golf member.
Don't really like Cam Smith so I'm afraid I'll not be cheering him on with you Didley. Especially with an Ashes Test running concurrently!! Rory for me, as ever. He really is in form so should be in with a good chance. Quite like Scheffler too, so won't mind if Hammersmith's bet comes in. A shame the weather looks rubbish. Playing a twilight round myself tonight, and have a round booked for Sunday, so will very much enjoy those more than whatever happens in The Open.
The well known bookmaker? Figures. Rahm and Rory ****ed by bunkers at the last. This course is biting. Faldo, who is hard to like, has a point - go long all the trouble on links courses is at the front of the green. Great (second) bunker shot from Rory.
Only cos of the price, I hate Thomas. A price that big for him though couldn't be turned down. Something clearly wrong with him at the moment though, but a player that good will bounce back at some stage. Could cost me plenty waiting for it to happen though !
The real test will come at the weekend when the weather's filth, many will fall by the wayside come Sunday evening.
That's where Fleetwood loves to finish so I can see that happening ! Just can't see him producing for 4 rounds especially when the Heat gets seriously hot. He may prove me wrong but he's done it so many times before.
Tyrell Hatton, one of my fancies, just took a 9 on 18 too. He'd been going well at 2 under up til then.
