Are these the proper tickets cos people on Facebook are saying they are test tickets. I’ve got nowt yet
I had a digital ticket for the Luton home game as couldn’t find my card. Is this the same system or a new one?
apparently these are test tickets and no acutual season tickets have been sent out yet emails were sent out in error you could not make it up off field club still a shambles
Folk will get used to this sharp enough. For one, you don’t need signal to access any items saved to phone wallet, I’ve done this with airline boarding passes and such for years as have many. I do appreciate there’ll be a generation or 2 who struggle with technology, but it’s a small portion and the way folk are going on like they alienating fans isn’t right. The cost to the club to send mail, cards for print and postage etc, it’s the same with major businesses. Companies charge for paper bills now, the cost of production and postage is outrageous. I know it’s a far bigger customer base but stopping paper bills and letters saved Sky 10’s of millions a year. Will have been more for likes of BT etc. If they’ve offered up these plastic cards in the interim then the club have compromised but made clear this is for transition only, which I call fair. Very few folk don’t have at least a basic smartphone, and someone who can show them how to save summat on it.
bet lots are but digital will be normal for most soon to be fair not many on here moaning about it so far Boro move to Digital Ticketing ️ | FMTTM (fmttmboro.com)
To be fair, might be more difficult for them, fumbling about with a phone when you have 6 fingers on each hand
The vast majority of people "moaning like bitches" have concerns due to the piss poor communication from the club, the back tracking after RAWA got involved late last week and even now the confusion over if people have to go to the ticket office or it can be done via email. But yes, some of our fans moaned like bitches ffs
also says all season cards are getting replaced so going 100% Digital The club are pleased to announce the phased introduction of digital ticketing for the 2023/24 season, after consultation with Middlesbrough Supporters Forum. Digital ticketing uses NFC (Near Field Communication) which is a short-range wireless technology, as used for contactless payments. It's secure, fast and easy to use. Supporters who require a new Season Card for 2023/24 – including seat moves, price category changes, and new applicants – will be the first people required to download their Season Card onto their mobile device. These supporters will be contacted via email and/or post ahead of the new season with full information on how to get set up. Digital ticketing will be phased in, in stages, for existing Season Card holders over the course of 2023/24, and the club will keep fans fully informed in advance of changes to their requirements. Please do not get in touch with the Ticket Office until/unless you have been contacted by the club regarding digital ticketing. Digital ticketing will ultimately replace all physical Season Cards, with plans to push match tickets to digital ticketing in the future. Supporters should continue to use their existing Season Card until informed otherwise. A spokesman said: “NFC and mobile ticketing is something we’ve been keen to introduce for a while, and we’re delighted to be in a position to move in this direction. “A phased roll-out means we can allocate resources more efficiently and provide additional assistance to supporters using the technology. Each area to be rolled out will be contacted as the season goes on and will receive full information on how to use NFC. “This is a real positive step in that it will make it easier for supporters when it comes to purchasing tickets and for Season Card holders to be able to access their own pass via their chosen device.”
