    From a poster on RTG - balti man - RE Mayenda

    I think this one is a done deal. Apparently KLD tasked Speakman with bringing in a young striker for a very low fee, with huge upsell potential. If he did so, KLD will increase the transfer budget for other areas.

    Mate bumped into Speakman in Texas the other night and asked about this deal and he told him, "We reckon we'll get this one over the line, for under a million, so I have delivered Mayenda - the bargain."

    no idea how true, bit concerned if it is as if speakman didn’t deliver it would KLD just not strengthen? :emoticon-0102-bigsm All sounds abit odd to me but something to pass the time on a slow day

    Sounds like complete nonsense that in about a million ways. Not least because Speakman just doesn’t seem the kind who’d tell random people anything.

    Hemir was playing in the 2nd tier of Portuguese football last year, for probably the best academy in world football.

    Stewart was playing for a semi-professional team in the 5th tier of Scottish football when he was 19.

    Give the ****er a chance he’s barely kicked a ball and people are writing him off.

    Some people are never bloody pleased and will even ignore recent history. Stewart was signed from nowhere and has been unbelievable, Simms had done nowt before he came here and again performed brilliantly. Neither of these were at an academy of Benfica's stature.

    I've been really impressed with the kid from what I have seen and think we have signed a real gem.
