Bit disappointed with the Kappa Turkiye kits so far, it's all very boring and basic. The new Cambridge United shirts Umbro have done are a bit like here's what you could have won
2x very run-of-the-mill shirts. Based on Kappa’s handling of the Fiorentina and Venezia kit launches I was expecting more
Bit of a bugger but I can't get down for the opening Can someone pick me up a McKechnie Orange shirt in XXL,I'm not overly keen on the Hadgraft Blue. Ask Bobbi to sign it on the Left sleeve please.
It's nothing to do with Kappa HQ what club shirts look like when produced under licence. The only stipulation is the garment spec and fabrics including Omni placement. Licence holders are given 6 location options on a shirt for the Omni and 4 on the shorts with no limitation on how many of those locations are used. The licensee, in this case Kappa Turkey, will then ask the club what they want and the club will give a directive. Some clubs shrug their shoulders and say 'surprise me' but I'd expect the commercial/retail team at City to be better than that and have given them clear direction on what they wanted. The licence holder will then design the kits and present cads and samples for approval. The club will then decide if they're happy. Its amazing how many people think the customer (ie the club) sit there and have to accept whatever they are given from a brand, especially a licence holder for a major brand that has the ability to do whatever they like colour, style and pattern wise. City, albeit maybe Acun, will have chosen the look of everything. The only time you get clubs wearing stuff they haven't really had control of is when lower league clubs wear brands like Adidas and Nike who will not do small minimums for them on bespoke shirts. When I went to see Northamption about their kit deal a few years ago the CEO told me about how they had to change their home colour and style a bit which had annoyed fans because for the previous few years Nike were supplying a French club with bespoke kits in the exact pantone Northampton wanted and they were able to add onto the fabric requirements. This went tits up in the year I visited because the French club had '100 years' watermarked into the fabric so Northampton couldn't use it!!
XXL? Ladies and Gentlemen, and Vern, I give you Weight Watchers Slimmer of the Year. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
This blue kit is the worse kit I've seen in years, the amber just doesn't look like it's the right combination to the blue, white would probably been better in this instance.
I like the blue kit. I'd have preferred a V-neck with single amber stripe all the way around and a nicer finish to the cuffs, again a single amber stripe, but that's being picky. It's not a bad shirt and both of my kids have asked for that over a home which means it's down with the kids too.
it was supposed to be a darker navy blue apparently acun saw a female city fan in a blue dress and went for a lighter blue colour
The home kit is very good apart from the back which is too black and should be broken up more. I appreciate that a players name and number will be on the back but there needs to be more amber. Also I am not sure if the club badge is iron on or a sew on badge.
Nice shirt indeed got the opportunity to try it on last Friday on a sneek preview of the shop opening
You're a celebrity now Waka! First modelling gigs at the shop and literally 5 minutes ago I was listening to you being interviewed on the Hull Say It Best podcast with a whole episode dedicated to your preseason preview!
