Wonder if you can have both, should work if it’s the same QR code for each game. Essentially you then have a backup if you lose your phone or the battery dies etc.
Scandalous from the club, why the **** wasn't that just communicated in the first place. Absolute bollocks way to go on.
When you buy a ticket on-line they send you an email with links to download the e-tickets to google or apple wallet. I've not tried it but I would assume that forwarding that e-mail to your mate would do the trick. I'm not sure how this would work with a season card but I'd assume there is a digital pass / token for each game and once it's used then any copies on other phones will not get in. I decided to go digital at the end of last season, I downloaded google wallet and put my Watford ticket on my phone. In the end they were still using the QR codes anyway But I now use google wallet more that my contactless debit card. Surely there is a simple solution - just have an NFC enabled card similar to a debit card for those without a smart phone
Once again, the person running the show hasn't got a clue. No proactive thoughts to help fans. Just reacting after fune. Absolute joke.
Copied from a Sunderland facebook page :- Paul Scrafton Admin Top contributor · 5 m · Discussed at the BLC (branch liaison council) meeting today with the club:- This afternoon I along with reps from RAWA and Senior supporters branch attended a meeting relating to digital ticketing. As an outcome of the discussions, the club would appreciate those who have smart phone to use digital tickets. But for those who can't use digital tickets, the following has been agreed with the club: Please note that an alternative season ticket solution will be available for supporters if the digital ticket isn’t an appropriate option. This will be a white plastic card that will display a QR code, customer name & number, block number, row number and seat number. To order a white plastic card, please visit the ticket office in person from Wednesday 19th July with your customer number details and identification. I hope this goes some way to help our supporters and take away some of your worries that cards aren't being made available
@CWaters_SAFC An alternative season ticket solution will be available if the digital ticket isn’t suitable. This will be a white plastic card with a QR code, customer name & number and seat details. To order a white plastic card, please visit the ticket office in person from 19th July
So after all that a ****ing QR code will work. What an almighty **** up this has been. Steve Davison get the **** out of my club you inept ****ing clown. He's causing absolute chaos.
I created an outlook email last season and registered that which works fine. But the kids' accounts are Gmail so it will be interesting to see if they all work. Either way, I'll be getting them a physical card as they can't get Google pay.
So. People moaning that there wasn't an alternative to digital season cards, now people moaning that there IS an alternative.... Some folk are never happy
I think they are waiting for the club to mention if there's an admin charge. Pitchfork and marching Boots at the ready
Waiting on the official communication from the club, but initially looks like it sorted, a **** show from the club communications again. Curious if individuals can go on behalf of others to reduce the amount of people or if it is individuals one at a time that have to go
Other clubs charge 5-10 quid imagine if Sunderland don’t charge a penny, cheaper season tickets than most, no admin charge for physical charge but will they get any credit for this? Having said all of the above the comms from the club is crap. They did say right from the start there would be an alternative but I’m sure they would have known what the alternative would be and could communicated this much sooner. They’ve deliberately withheld it to try and increase take up of digital but they’ve underestimated the vitriol of the Sunderland fan once again.
