BBC Sport got it wrong again I did wonder what we needed a defender for when we have lost 3 Midfield players
Looks like another good signing, midfield not looking too bad now. Still need a left back and maybe another striker.
When arriving at Shrewsbury in 2021, Leahy had been playing as a left-back or a left wing-back for Bristol Rovers, and whilst he was signed by Cotterill for that very role after scoring nine times and notching five assists in 2020-21 for the Gas, he was soon playing in a number of different positions. In his debut year at Shrewsbury, Leahy had a run of games at wing-back and even on the left-hand side of a back three, but for the most part he adopted the role as a central midfielder on the left-hand side of a three, scoring nine times and notching seven assists. His productivity increased even further in the 2022-23 season as he scored a mammoth 12 goals and assisted a further four in his 51 appearances whilst also skippering the club.
The last player we got from the Shrews was JJ. That's 2 good signings for sure. Not sure about the first one but hopefully, the experience will come in handy
Harry Boyes is the #Chairboys' fourth new signing! The Sheffield United starlet arrives at Adams Park on a season-long loan deal. Matt Bloomfield continues to deliver in the transfer window!
⚽️ And Kane makes it five! We welcome Kane Vincent-Young, a promotion-winner with Ipswich last season. And the Blues go marching on, on, on! #Chairboys
Wow, things are really hotting up now. Not even sure we needed another full back. Just a striker to go and we are ready.
EXCLUSIVE Wycombe Wanderers aim to sign 11 more players this summer please log in to view this image Exclusive by James RichingsJames_BFPCommunity Content and Sports Reporter 15th July The Chairboys, who have already secured the services of five new faces, are hoping to attract an additional five first-team players It is also hoped that six new faces will also join the development squad The positions in question are in goal due to Max Stryjek being the only first-team shot-stopper, along with reinforcements in attack Two of the players that Wanderers are keeping close tabs on include centre back Joe Low, who is thought to have featured in the Chairboys’ 1-0 away win over the Arsenal U21s on July 14, and forward, Gabriel Kamavuako
Pompey released Gabriel Kamavuako from our academy end of last season. He played mainly as a winger for us
Close to signing Joe Low from Bristol City, could this see the end of Forino or does it indicate a back 3 formation and MB wants four actual centre backs on the books.
Joe Low confirmed,i said on an earlier post he looked big he's 6'5'' i imagine he'll be in the box when we have a corner.
