Has allegedly became a father for the 9th time again. That's 9 kids to 4 different women. Oh yes, those observations about over population apply to everyone else but not Boris. Silly me :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Here's another opportunity for our Prime Minister to show everyone how cleverly he avoids doing or saying anything.

    Wed 12 Jul 2023 14.27

"Nadine Dorries has been reported to the chief whip and Commons speaker after allegedly sending “forceful” emails to the government about not being given a peerage."

    https://amp.theguardian.com/politic...ful-emails-about-denied-peerage-boris-johnson

    "Dear Mr Sunak

Why haven't I been given a peerage when people who've done absolutely f**k all for the country have had theirs.
I worked my tits off doing and saying everything Boris told me and what thanks do I get.
I'm warning you, Boris will come round and f**k you up!
    Yours faithfully
The right honourable Nadine Dorries MP."

Sunak is correct - it's a matter for the whip's office.

While I don't agree with peerages just for being enthusiastic supporters, she's right to be pissed off if she knew she was on Johnson's list and was then taken off it by someone else without any explanation.

"WhatsApp messages sent to and by Boris Johnson before May 2021 have still not been handed over to the Covid inquiry, because they are stuck on his phone.

The government had until 16.00 BST on Monday to hand over relevant material to the inquiry after the Cabinet Office lost a legal challenge.

But the BBC understands neither the government nor Mr Johnson's team can access messages on the phone."

They should give it to a seven year old ...

I bang on about this because I think it is important, that is the current Labour approach to expelling members for showing any support for so called banned groups. A simple liking of a social media post can be enough to be expelled by some accounts. It now transpires that every single appeal in these cases has been unsuccessful. That is 69 appeals, all rejected. This doesnt sit at all well with me and stats like this make me wonder just how rational and fair the process inside the party is.

Nobody hates Labour more than Labour. Constant settling of scores going on.

I worry it goes deeper than settling old scores. I worry it is so deeply embedded that you must think a certain way that it leads to a very imbalanced government without any internal intellectual challenge, or any checks and balances. I think we are already seeing some of this play out in the manner in which the policy reversals are being framed, i.e. very little evidence of challenge to the thinking at the top.

Would anyone like to hazard a guess at Johnson's passcode?

    I'll go for 6969.

Boris Johnson ‘has forgotten’ passcode for phone wanted by Covid inquiry

Spokesperson says ex-PM wants to hand over WhatsApp messages but experts describe latest development as ‘pretty lame excuse’

    Thu 13 Jul 2023 16.04 BST

Boris Johnson’s WhatsApp messages are yet to be received by the Covid inquiry because he is said to have forgotten the passcode for his old phone.

The former prime minister’s spokesperson said Johnson still wants to cooperate with the inquiry and did not deny being unable to recall the code.

Johnson stopped using the device in May 2021, after receiving security advice once it had emerged his phone number had been accessible online for at least 15 years.

Bereaved families and technical experts have rubbished Johnson’s excuse for not being able to send the messages to the inquiry, with experts noting the former prime minister would still be able to access his messages as long as his WhatsApp is backed up.

tbf, I can't remember any of the passwords I was given for my military accounts and that's just a year now. No doubt he would have been allocated a password rather than choosing one himself for security reasons. It does provide a convenient excuse though.

Johnson's pin number confirmed from government records.

I know it looks like there should be a punchline there.

Another nothing story that's got the usual suspects dancing.

'Hello, this is the PM. I've just had Putin on the phone and he's threatening a nuclear attack, what do I do!

'Firstly, Mr Johnson, you need the nuclear response code we gave you.'

    'Code?'

'Yes it's the first letters of your children's names in age order.'

    'What?'

    Phone goes down,
'Right lads, off to the bunker, now!!!'

I havent mentioned the looney left, those arent my words. I dont even think this is about getting rid of the far left of the party. To me it appears that if you dont toe a particular party line you are not allowed in. Not the Labour party I supported or would return to support, although there are other reason for that too.

We could probably do with all the parties splitting tbh. The 'broad church' thing has now completely failed, brought on by the ever more extreme rhetoric and posturing, and both Labour and the Tories are now far more interested in total victory in their own factional wars than getting anything done.

We'd end up with both lunatic fringes sidelined, rather than running their parties which both sides have been guilty of recently. It can't be anything but a good thing.
