Patrick Bamford....discuss. Bamford fired us to the Championship title and then a very fine 9th place finish in the PL the following season. Seems strange then that virtually every Leeds fan wants him out and aren't willing to see if a full pre season can see him overcome his injury problems. In theory at least Bamford should be filling his boots for us next season.
Said at the time that Branford’s misses came close to costing us promotion. We dominated games so he got loads of chances. He’s a conundrum in that the side played better with him in it, but he repeatedly missed opportunities to make it count. with no crowds present (coincidence?) he did much better than any of us expected that first season in the prem. Since then normal service has been resumed. would he be an asset to the squad if fully fit? Maybe. I’m not fussed if he stays provided we have alternatives
2 years of crap, 2 years of injuries, 2 years of no effort and 2 years of barndoor Paddy when it was easier to score he misses. You can only rest on your laurels for so long and Leeds wasted 2 years on him and if they had brought in a striker when we were begging for one maybe we would be still in the prem. you cannot hide behind facts and data. Fans have lot it with Paddy, me included
Pretty sure Bamford will start the season as our first choice no’9 but fans just don’t seem to want that. Crazy really given he’s proven at Championship level and actually earned an England cap due to his good all round play in the PL. As we were relegated just don’t see how we could sign someone better or even equivalent in ability.
Do you mean those fans who only cheer when we’re winning ? For me Leeds fans are at their best when supporting the team and players when we’re really up against it and some of the so called support last season was a disgrace. Ultimately collectively we all got what we deserved.
Oh and if the fans take last season’s bad feeling against some of the players like Bamford, Firpo or whoever into this season then it will only lead to more poor results. As Farke said we all need to be together.
