Not sure how I feel about Connolly signing. What happened to the policy of bringing in robust players?
Hull City are closing in on the signing of Brighton and Hove Albion striker Aaron Connolly as boss Liam Rosenior looks to add the firepower he believes will give his side a chance at securing promotion from the Championship. Connolly's move is expected to be completed in the next few days with a second loan move to the MKM Stadium agreed upon, Hull Live understands.
Who are we going to bring in to cover Connolly when he inevitably gets injured within the first 10 games and is out for the season.
Happy to hear Connolly is likely to be back, Hopefully, he has put his injury problem behind him, could well be a good signing for us.
I'd be over the moon if we've managed to secure his services, looks every inch a PL player and kept fit he'll make this team tick..Socks blown off for me.
I really don’t see the point in signing him again on loan. I also don’t see why so many of our fans hype him up. He scored two decent goals in a handful of games then was crocked with a foot injury for months.
I can see us being strikerless again by the end of August at this rate, unless Delap has a bit more "robustness" about him. Jury's still out there
No proper source has said anything about Connolly yet, just a proven bullshitter who gets all his info off this site. Why are people even talking about it?
He’s in the last year of his contract, we’re probably seeing how his fitness holds up before committing to a longer deal
Just seems pointless to use up a loan spot in the matchday squad on him when surely we could have just signed him on a one year deal with an option.
But why sign him at all? If he's in the last year of his contract, I can imagine Brighton wanting us to pay the majority of his wages. I just think this is another sentimental signing by Rosenior like Ebiowei. I know it's not Connolly's fault he was injured for months but Rosenior needs to be more ruthless and move on to other targets.
