Isn't Darlow off to Leeds or Boro both of whom can offer more than us?

I would love to see Darlow back and then both compete for the #1 spot, but unfortunately I just think the finances are to much for us

To be fair to Doc, what could he have done, it was a shocking ball to him in the first place. His touch was awful but not totally his fault.

You can forgive one **** up. Having a rush of blood and doing exactly the same thing 2 mins later wasn't the best tho.

I know your in the know so I’ll lose this conversation but
Baxter didn’t come to sit on the bench
Darlow didn’t come to sit on the bench
If it’s Tom heaton, he isn’t coming to sit on the bench.
They could all stay at pl clubs and do that

You're right they didn't, but I'm not sure any of them came straight in to the team it was either after a poor game or injury that got them their chance ( If I'm wrong then fair enough ) if Darlow or Heaton came in then they would probably start the season. But it's not a given, LR and the club rate Ingram highly and quite rightly so as he's a top champ keeper. But they want 2 that are capable of being #1 and that will not give the other a second to become complacent.

I don't think anyone could have any complaints if Ingram, Darlow or Heaton started as our #1 this season

I don’t get the keeper situation anyway, I don’t see how any of the ones we have can’t be number 2 after Ingram

If we could guarantee Ingram plays 90%+ of the games next season then I'm sure we'd stick with him and Tim but not sure we will.

He wasn't marked though. He was open. He had the touch of Dele Adebola and Terreira closed in. He controls the ball and distributes its a different story

Yeah I singled out Doc but my point is just in general that we’re going to struggle to play possession based football, especially out from the back if we don’t have the players for it.

We only have a small group of players that have the technical ability to excel in this style: Seri, Traore, Tufan, Tetteh, Christie, Woods. Tempted to add young Vaughn to that list too from what I’ve seen so far.

We have been playing it. If you're saying Woods is technical enough then Slater and Longman should be on that list also.

Then we're looking at incomings - pretty sure the touted LB is technically gifted too.

This determination to pin all our ills on playing out from the back is really over the top.

We beat the best team in Turkey away, scored some great goals in the process. Yet that's all an afterthought because again all some people want to talk about is the playing out from the back. It's not the first time we've had this after a big away win either. The away win at Cardiff last season was the same.

One of the biggest problems this team had last season was getting the support of the home crowd. When we scored first and the crowd were up for it it was great, but if we conceded a poor goal and people felt that we were playing it out too much the atmosphere was horrendous. Someone mentioned North stand earlier, I go in there and it really is toxic when we play out. People screaming with rage that Ingram has played another goal kick short because they absolutely can't accept that we don't just abandon the tactic the second we have a hairy moment. Rosenior whenever he gets a chance begs the crowd to be more understanding and get behind it. It does make a difference. We need to change this attitude of being so against playing out that we get angry and turn on our team.
