Has Lavia said anything publicly about leaving? I'm just wondering whether if Pep or similar give him the confidence he might genuinely chose to stay and then just go there next summer when the release clause kicks in? Then we can simply dismantle the league with Lavia, Downes and Alvarez in the middle and forget this whole sorry affair.

It probably is his level. But I don't think he'd be suited to Martin's possession-based football in the slightest.
As the tweet specifically mentions the u21s guess that clears up whether he is viewed as a first team signing
My worry with Che is that he'll be a prime target for premiership teams panicking at the end of the window. He'll be virtually impossible to replace that late on.
