Yep. On sky sports news now. Saw the tweet of him taking selfies with the fans. Didn’t rush off, seems a decent guy on very quick first impression.
finally some movement now for him to have a look at what we have and to make decisions on who he wants ti keep or try to keep and who gets the golden handshake goodbye. I honestly believe he has been doing some groundwork behind the scenes with the club and the club have been forced to announce him before the takeover is complete in which they wanted hand in hand. Let's get our bloody club back now. We are on the track just need to start getting it moving again.
Good appointment for you. don’t forget it took him a bit of time initially to get Norwich going, think they were near the bottom of the championship for the first 2 months, so might take him some time initially. But a smart appointment; hope you come straight back up.
Made a similar comment on the daily thread, reckon it’ll take 10-15 games to see his true impact on the club (remembering the problems he initially had at Norwich).
Strachan pointing out how difficult it might be to move on our rubbish https://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co...tQ9vXtYtv4CdhoRc0-VN9MhEbZFYUoqqc#0mm63j3fpk3
Whilst the players are to a large extent guilty, our biggest problem was the coaches employed after Bielsa. One minute our fan base is concerned about everyone leaving and we won't have 11 players to start a season, next breath they are worried we won't be able to move them on. Maybe we don't need to move on that many players, maybe if they are played in their right position and formation and asked to do the things they are best at doing a decent coach will bring out the best in them. Throw in 3-4 new additions to compliment what we have and the big wheel might turn again. We're going up as champions first time of asking, might set a record or two along the way
I’ve always said there would be a problem moving them on. Let’s see what’s left in September or who has moved
Who leaving concerns you, Koch, Roca, Firpo, Llorente are the main ones I have heard squealing about not wanting to play in the championship, I'd have shipped them out either way. Rodrigo would spend more time on the treatment table, he can't last a season in the Championship so i don't care about him leaving either. If it is true that we are signing Manning and Darlow I would have them any day of the week over Meslier and Firpo. I'd also take Cresswell at CB ahead of any of last seasons CB's. We're not going to lose 10 players and as long as we replace the ones that do leave with better I don't care. I said before I would be more worried about trying to win promotion with the same 11-15 that took us down, some need to go, those that remain lets hope Farke is a decent coach and we'll be okay
The yanks are money men and not stupid you would imagine. So giving Farke a 4 year deal can only mean he is the future unless they are as thick as the Radz crowd. Means if he gets us up he will be given the backing in the Prem. almost surely means he will have the players he wants this season fingers crossed then
I’m more worried about being stuck with Bamford ayling cooper etc because they can’t be moved and then trying to build a team around them when they’re actually well past any kind of worthwhile contribution. Let the rebuild begin
I’ve a feeling or hope that Farke will bring out the best in Rutter, if he does I wouldn’t be opposed to Bamford being on the bench. If we had a bench of Bamford, Ayling and Cooper I’d see it as experienced. If we sign a decent striker all the better but we need some depth, we can’t have a bench of U21s it would be too dangerous. I think players like Cooper will offer valuable experience, I’d not want to see him starting but an injury to a CB and a change needed, he’d be ideal to bring on
Came across really well in the interview, and nailed the basics, hard work and unity. Let’s give him our backing and the players who start our season. Starting to feel a whole lot better about next season. Time for some beer.
