Good to see you posting mate, how's it going, you know health, business, life in general, you coming over to the UK anytime soon?
Feeling much improved thanks. Just waiting for a skin biopsy result which hopefully comes back ok. Still cooking but only do local. Will be back in Blighty as my second grand child will be due later in the year.
I'm glad you are feeling improved mate, you did have me a tad concerned for a little while there - I sense these things. Fingers crossed on the skin biopsy for you. I'm sure the locals love your culinary skills - all the best to yer grandad ginge.
Ginge - good luck with the skin biopsy. I guess that's one of the disadvantages of living in the sunshine for too long. I went to the skin doctor when I was back in UK as I have a lot of moles/freckles. Fortunately she was happy with them but pointed out I should continue to monitor them and that she could see skin damage on my forehead so I now have to go round with a cap on when I am out in the sun here to try and protect it.
Thanks JT, had a check before I left Blighty originally. Was told then to keep out of the sun which I mostly have.Think I’m whiter than when I came apart from arms and head. Just a few too many itchy brown ones for my liking.
Not sure whether you are referring to the local women or skin blemishes with your last sentence but in either case hope it improves!
Been out travelling the last 2 weeks, once on holiday and once with work. Bloody busy either side so uploaded nothing. Anyhow, really needed to share this lunch I had in Florence. I've never left a restaurant feeling so satisfied. Not uncomfortably full, but incredibly happy with my lot. Wine (little sparkling number), paired with amuse-bouche (chicken liver pate) Pasta with truffle... unreal. Paired with a light, cool, fresh red (was nice, as it was 37'c outside) Steak, celeriac puree, roasted spring onion, truffle. Paired with an insanely powerful Brunello. Magic. White chocolate encased lemon parfait. Pudding wine. Espresso. 3 courses, with pate and bread plus 4 glasses of wine and a coffee in an amazing location - 66 Euro. One of the most enjoyable meals I've ever had.
