Ok, now I know it's the Fascist Post...and I normally shy away from it, but it's actually a good read. Incredible for a paper that normally bashes anything from outside the M25! Good post Scott excellent read, lets hope we can show the red devils how we can play the beautiful game hey.
Our Brendan is a top bloke. Looking at him in all interviews and himself in general, is there ever a more 'Humble' man in the premiership. Total respect for a man who has taken all the knocks life can give and still have the drive to be positive in all aspects of life, including, the small matter of football. Cracking article Scott. We are in a great place at the moment. Top, league, Top board, Top manager and Top fans. Bring on Manchester United
Possession % Chelsea 59.64 Arsenal 59.04 Manchester City 56.95 Swansea City 56.14 Liverpool 55.45 So as far as possession is concerned, we are currently in 4th place having already played against the 3 teams above us, and Liverpool in 5th!
The Daily Mail or lovingly called The Fail in many quarters they are as right wing as you will ever get, and lick the arses of the conservatives, sort of the opposite of The Mirror lol
Check this out, a "Daily Mail headline generator"! http://www.qwghlm.co.uk/toys/dailymail/ The first one I got was; Class.
All a bit premature if you ask me, its only November ! as much as im chuffed to bits for the team and city im also a bit worried that some (including the players) might get carried away . We have had some tough games away but people forget that we failed to beat Wigan(were lucky not to lose), Wolves,Norwich and Sunderland to a lesser degree , Wigan ,Wolves and Norwich for me were potential 3pts and fellow relegation buddies so whilw we have done well im not getting carried away! We have Man utd (h),Villa(h) then a real hard game away to Blackburn wouldnt be suprised to get 0-1 pt out of those games. Then we have Fulham(h) ,Everton and Newcastle away i expect just 3pts from that lot. Could be lean times in the run up to xmas and into January we could be exactly where the bookies expect us to be !! I hope we keep suprising people and progressing as a team but next year is when you see small squads and lesser players struggle, we will soon find out how good we really are !! CMON THE SWANS !!
I think we have progressed since Wigan and Sunderland; it was very much a learning curve with us getting to grips with the demands of the higher level. Norwich apart, we seem to have improved steadily and now Danny Graham is starting to find the net, we are kicking on quite nicely. However, as you say, we need to keep our feet on the ground (as well as the ball) because every game will be a battle for us. We will either be playing teams like us, desperate not to get dragged into the relegation places, or teams fighting for the title or a European slot. This isn't known as the toughest league in the world for nothing. We are all in there battling and scrapping for what we can get which is why squad depth is so important. When we reach the sharp end at the close of the season, quite often desire and fitness will overcome quality, so fresh (quality) legs will be vital - and I'm far from convinced that our squad is as fit as it could be. Our tendency to run out of gas in the last 10/15 minutes of games has been happening far too often for far too long to make me think otherwise. How come our opponents so frequently score against us in the dying minutes when we rarely do the same? I am confident that we can make it but it will take the whole team playing each game as a cup final and Buck will have to earn his corn to ensure that we do just that. For sure, I don't want to see again this season the body language he showed after the Norwich game.
