I know, I was a penniless student. I did replace it with a one owner from new beige mini for a bargain price of £140 apart from some rusty wings it was mint. Wrote it off in Lancashire driving into the back of a sales reps 3 day old Vauxhall something or other He wasn't best pleased.
Back in the 90's I bought an MGB GT to do up. Right, going to do a proper job on this. Subscribed to the MG Owners Club and in the back pages of the magazine was this advert, Concourse Condition MGB, £28,000 spent last few years. For Sale £18000. So, I did the proper job. Swerved the full rebuild. Just kept it roadworthy for a good few years. The car I wish I had kept, Peugeot 309 GTI.
Yeah I’d love one of them, my gitlfriend loves the st more than me . Hopefully ltll now be easier to convince her we need an Rs
My late brother had a ‘64 Cooper S. Blue with a white roof. The reg was AWF 1B. **** knows what that would be worth these days. He traded it for an 1800 Austin Maxi!!!
It's now lost its title as the only car brand manufactured in Wales, as the new Aston Martin 4x4 factory is in Wales. I always quite liked the Invader, is the Mk3 the one with the Capri engine?
The best sports car ever for me was the Austin Healey 3000, the design is just majestic. When I was in my late teens my pal had a 100/6, which was the same body but 6 cylinder engine and a joy to ride in. 100/6 please log in to view this image
